Ligament koji zaslužuje pozornost - medijalni patelofemoralni ligament [Ligament which deserves attention - medial patellofemoral ligament].

open access: yes, 2012
There has been increasing interest in investigating the medial patellofemoral ligament (MPFL) during the last fifteen years. This is due to the recognition of the MPFL as the primary static soft-tissue restraint to lateral patellar displacement and the association of MPFL injury with primary traumatic patellar dislocation.

An Implantable Scaffold Sequentially Releasing STING Agonist and B7‐H3 Antibody for Bone Metastasis Immunotherapy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed an implantable dual‐drug depot using GelMA for bone metastasis treatment, co‐delivering MSA‐2 and αB7‐H3‐loaded CaCO3 microparticles. Sustained release from GelMA scaffold enables MSA‐2 to activate STING signaling and enhance T‐cell infiltration and activation, while sequentially released αB7‐H3 blocks MSA‐2‐induced B7‐H3 upregulation ...

An Implanted Tooth That Can Feel

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
To endow the implanted tooth with masticatory perception, herein we demonstrate that a 3D‐printed piezoelectric‐core/robust‐sheath implanted tooth can rebuild the sensing feedback, serving as “mechanoreceptors” in converting the mechanical chewing force to electrical signals, and up to brain through surrounding alveolar nerve system.

Deep Learning Models to Detect Anterior Cruciate Ligament Injury on MRI: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesDiagnostics
Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is routinely used to confirm the suspected diagnosis of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury. Recently, many studies explored the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and deep learning (DL), a sub-category of AI, in ...

Cascade Therapy of Periodontitis via Sequential Release of Ribosome‐Targeting Antimicrobial Peptide and Irisin From a Multifunctional MOF‐Based System

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a novel strategy for periodontitis treatment by co‐delivering a membrane‐ and ribosome‐targeting antimicrobial peptide GF and Irisin through a pH‐responsive metal‐organic framework. The system enables sequential release, providing rapid antibacterial action, anti‐inflammatory and antioxidative effects, as well as promoting bone ...

Scapholunate Ligament Injuries

open access: yesJournal of Hand Surgery Global Online
Injuries to the scapholunate interosseous ligament (SLIL) complex can result in a predictable cascade of incongruous motion in the carpus that leads to radiocarpal degeneration. Both acute traumatic impact and repetitive motion can render the SLIL insufficient. A thorough understanding of SLIL anatomy is required for appropriate diagnosis and treatment.

Hierarchical Artificial Muscle with Nonlinear Elasticity for Antagonistic and Cyclic Robotics

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We construct hierarchical muscles by plying nylon fibers around a heating wire. The hierarchical muscle shows a J‐shaped passive curve, which shows benefit in antagonistic muscle pair and work accumulation mechanism. We also develop a computational, first‐principle model to understand the physics of both active actuation stroke and passive J‐curve ...

Inherently Disordered Auxetic Metamaterials

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Inherently disordered auxetic metamaterials based on random chiral Delaunay triangulations are designed and investigated using numerical simulations and experimental tests. These disordered frameworks exhibit orthotropic behavior and a large negative Poisson's ratio (ca.

Dual‐Strategy Design of Heterojunction‐Enhanced Piezoelectric Hydrogels for Periodontitis Treatment

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study developed a piezoelectric hydrogel integrating heterojunction enhancement and dual‐salt synergy, combining robust electrical performance with mechanical stability and bioactivity to better match the periodontal microenvironment. Under ultrasound activation, the hydrogel markedly promotes macrophage M2 polarization, thereby reducing the ...

Posterior Cruciate Ligament

open access: yesSports Medicine and Arthroscopy Review, 2019
Posterior cruciate ligament injuries may occur as an isolated injury or in combination with other ligaments in the multiple-ligament injured knee. Caution must be exercised in chronic posterior cruciate ligament injuries since the MRI may demonstrate a normal-appearing posterior cruciate ligament even when there is significant laxity on clinical ...
