ABSTRACT This report describes a case of peritoneal splenosis in a dog, identified following the discovery of multiple peritoneal nodules on computed tomography (CT) performed for the evaluation of a compressive myelopathy. Histopathologic analysis confirmed the presence of ectopic splenic tissue without evidence of malignancy.

Background Ectopic pregnancies can be a life‐threatening condition in early pregnancy. Risk factors include pelvic inflammatory disease, prior ectopic pregnancy, pelvic surgery, and anatomical variations. Although pregnancy after tubal sterilization is uncommon, recurrent ectopic pregnancy after bilateral partial salpingectomy is rare.
