An Elongation- and Ligation-Based qPCR Amplification Method for the Radiolabeling-Free Detection of Locus-Specific N6 -Methyladenosine Modification.

Angewandte Chemie, 2018
The epitranscriptomic mark N6 -methyladenosine (m6 A) is the most abundant RNA modification in eukaryotic mRNA, but various limitations in currently available m6 A detection methods have precluded routine identification of m6 A marks at the single-site ...

Renal Vein Ligation

JAMA: The Journal of the American Medical Association, 1970
To the Editor:— While standard textbooks describe in detail the syndrome associated with thrombosis of the renal vein, we have been able to find no report of the consequences of renal veinligation. We were pleasantly surprised by the lack of ill effects of such a procedure in the case reported below. Report of a Case.— A 16-year-old boy was admitted

Laparoscopic Varix Ligation

Journal of Urology, 1992
Varicocele, dilated veins in the pampiniform plexus, is frequently a contributing factor in male infertility. We performed outpatient laparoscopic varix ligation in 14 patients (5 bilaterally) with clinically evident varices and persistent oligospermia and/or asthenospermia. The spermatic artery was identified and preserved in all but 1 varix ligation.

Emergency Carotid Ligation

Archives of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, 1962
Because of the increasing incidence of radical surgery of the head and neck, there have been questions raised regarding the sequelae of ligating the common carotid artery to control hemorrhage. This procedure may have dire consequences, with death and neurologic complications.

Laparoscopic Varicocele Ligation

British Journal of Urology, 1993
Summary— A laparoscopic varicocele ligation was performed in 49 men with a clinically proven varicocele. Patients were treated predominantly on a day case or overnight basis with minimal postoperative morbidity. Identification of the testicular artery was aided by a laparoscopic Doppler probe in the majority of ...

VAGINAL TUBAL LIGATION

Obstetrical & Gynecological Survey, 1972
Postpartum abdominal sterilization by the Pomeroy method or tubal cauterization by laparoscopy are recommended over the procedure of vaginal tubal ligation described by McMaster and Ansari (Obstetrics and Gynecology 38: 44-50. 1971). The abdominal Pomeroy method is quick and laparoscopy requires a shorter hospital stay.

“Repeat” High Ligation

Australian and New Zealand Journal of Surgery, 1970
This paper describes a method for the safe and expeditious exposure of the saphenofemoral junction when recurrent varicose veins in the groin are due to a previous incomplete “high ligation”.

Portal Vein Ligation

2013
Portal vein ligation (PVL) is a standard procedure for achieving resectability in patients with an inadequate future remnant liver (FRL) prior to planning subsequent major hepatectomy. Its role in inducing FRL hypertrophy prior to major liver resection is clear [1].

Peptide Ligation at High Dilution via Reductive Diselenide-Selenoester Ligation.

Journal of the American Chemical Society, 2019
Peptide ligation chemistry has revolutionized protein science by providing access to homogeneously modified peptides and proteins. However, lipidated polypeptides and integral membrane proteins - an important class of biomolecules - remain enormously ...
