Light Front Quantization [PDF]

open access: yes, 2006
An introductory overview on Light-Front quantization, with some emphasis on recent achievements, is given. Light-Front quantization is the most promising and physical tool to study deep inelastic scattering on the basis of quark gluon degrees of freedom.

Basis light-front quantization approach to nucleon [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of Light Cone 2019 - QCD on the light cone: from hadrons to heavy ions — PoS(LC2019), 2020
We obtain the light-front wavefunctions for the nucleon in the valence quark Fock space from an effective Hamiltonian, which includes the transverse and longitudinal confinement and the one-gluon exchange interaction with fixed coupling. The wavefunctions are generated by solving the eigenvalue equation in a basis light-front quantization.

Basis light-front quantization approach to positronium

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2015
We present the first application of the recently developed Basis Light-Front Quantization (BLFQ) method to self-bound systems in quantum field theory, using the positronium system as a test case. Within the BLFQ framework, we develop a two-body effective interaction, operating only in the lowest Fock sector, that implements photon exchange, neglecting ...

Light-Front Quantization and AdS/QCD: An overview

open access: yesJournal of Physics: Conference Series, 2011
We give an overview of the light-front holographic approach to strongly coupled QCD, whereby a confining gauge theory, quantized on the light front, is mapped to a higher-dimensional anti de Sitter (AdS) space. The framework is guided by the AdS/CFT correspondence incorporating a gravitational background asymptotic to AdS space which encodes the ...

Frame independence of exclusive amplitudes in light-front quantization [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2000
While the particle-number-conserving convolution formalism established in the Drell-Yan-West reference frame is frequently used to compute exclusive amplitudes in the light-front quantization, this formalism is limited to only those frames where the light-front helicities are not changed and the good (plus) component of the current remains unmixed. For

Applications of Basis Light-Front Quantization to QED [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B - Proceedings Supplements, 2014
Hamiltonian light-front quantum field theory provides a framework for calculating both static and dynamic properties of strongly interacting relativistic systems. Invariant masses, correlated parton amplitudes and time-dependent scattering amplitudes, possibly with strong external time-dependent fields, represent a few of the important applications. By

Three-dimensional imaging of proton in basis light-front quantization [PDF]

open access: yesHadron Spectroscopy and Structure, 2020
We employ an effective Hamiltonian that includes the transverse and longitudinal confinement and the one-gluon exchange interaction with fixed coupling constant. By solving the eigenvalue equation in basis light-front quantization (BLFQ), we generate the light-front wavefunctions (LFWFs) for the nucleon in the valence quark Fock space.

Light-Front Quantization and QCD Phenomena [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
The light-front quantization of QCD provides an alternative to lattice gauge theory for computing the mass spectrum, scattering amplitudes, and other physical properties of hadrons directly in Minkowski space. Nonperturbative light-front methods for solving gauge theory and obtaining light-front wavefunctions, such as discretized light-front ...
