Microstructural identification of Cu in solar cells sensitive to light-induced degradation
Art. 1600426, 5 S.Light-induced degradation (mc-LID or LeTID) can lead to a severe efficiency loss in multi-crystalline solar cells. The underlying mechanism clearly distinguishes from known mechanisms as B-O-LID and Fe-B-LID.

Cell therapies typically rely on cold‐chain logistics and cryopreservation, limiting access and compromising cell quality. Here, a dual‐chamber device separates an oxygen‐supplying chamber from a hyaluronic acid cargo chamber, sustaining oxygen delivery for over 70 h and enabling ambient‐temperature shipment.

Biohybrid Crawling Robot With Spiral‐Spring Backbone and Inclined Legs for Enhanced Locomotion
We present a biohybrid crawling robot integrating a muscle ring with a flexible skeleton combining two complementary structural elements. The spiral‐spring backbone enables large‐amplitude bending without compromising axial stability, while outward‐inclined legs with unequal front–rear lengths effectively convert deformation into directional strides ...

Light-Induced Protein Degradation with Photocaged PROTACs
Induction of protein degradation is emerging as a powerful strategy to modulate protein functions and alter cellular signaling pathways. Proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) have been used to degrade a range of diverse proteins in vitro and in vivo ...

Laser‐Induced Local De‐Doping in Organic Semiconductors
The polymer PBTTT‐C14 doped with the small molecule acceptor F4TCNQ is considered as a benchmark material system. Mask‐free, microscale patterning of the doping level via laser‐induced heating and sublimation of dopant molecules is shown. Controlling laser irradiance and swath spacing allows dopant level control with laser‐limited resolution, opening ...

Investigating possible causes of light induced degradation in boron-doped Float-Zone silicon
The use of different silicon nitride deposition tools is found to change the degree of light induced degradation (LID) of B-doped float-zone silicon after a fast firing step.

A graphene oxide nanocarrier presents neuropeptide Y specifically to NPY receptor‐expressing pathways in the amygdala, whose activation selectively suppresses aversive memory formation, without modulating anxiety responses. This circuit‐restricted drug release strategy may impact future design of neuropsychiatric therapies with limited off‐target ...

A clinically translatable cell line can be engineered to produce leptin, encapsulated in biomaterial and safely implanted to produce and deliver the metabolic regulating protein within the body. Implantation of these encapsulated cells decreases the time it takes for mice and non‐human primates to adjust to circadian disruptions similar to those ...

dKDM5/LID regulates H3K4me3 dynamics at the transcription-start site (TSS) of actively transcribed developmental genes [PDF]
H3K4me3 is a histone modification that accumulates at the transcription-start site (TSS) of active genes and is known to be important for transcription activation.
