Effect of Surface Texture on Light Extraction Efficiency for LEDs
The light extraction efficiency of an LED is dependent on its surface texture. However, the surface of the p-GaN layer is not easy to be etch with inverted hexagonal pyramid structures (IHPS) with small top widths and large depths using existing methods.

Model for Light Extraction Efficiency of MicroLEDs
For the first time, a semi-analytic formulation of the light extraction efficiency (LEE) of MicroLEDs is presented. The model is based on light tracing equations and delineates the contributions of reflection on the sidewalls of the MicroLEDs to enhance ...

Enhancing the Light Extraction Efficiency in Micro‐Organic Light‐Emitting Diodes with Metalens
Due to the total internal reflection caused by the mismatch of the refractive indices between organic layers and oxide layers within an organic light‐emitting diode (OLED), most of the light energy is trapped inside the device; if the size of an OLED is ...

Effects of light extraction efficiency to the efficiency droop of InGaN-based light-emitting diodes
Light extraction efficiency (LEE) droop as an important factor contributing to the efficiency droop of InGaN-based light-emitting diodes (LEDs) has been demonstrated and investigated in detail. The LEE droop effect is induced by the spatial dependence of the extraction efficiency of photons inside of the LED devices and the aggravating crowding effect ...
