Dynamic Mechanical Analysis of Borassus Husk Fiber Reinforced Epoxy: Evaluating Suitability for Advanced Aerospace and Automotive Applications

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 7, Issue 4, April 2025.
Composite (DMA): This study examines the alkali treatment effect on Borassus husk fiber‐reinforced epoxy composites. Alkali treatment improves mechanical properties, including increased storage modulus, glass transition temperature, and damping factor, especially for 0.75‐h treated fiber/epoxy composite.

R‐Ras1 and R‐Ras2 regulate mature oligodendrocyte subpopulations

open access: yesGlia, Volume 73, Issue 4, Page 701-719, April 2025.
Main Points R‐Ras1 and R‐Ras2 are differentially expressed in mature oligodendrocytes subpopulations MOL1, MOL2 and MOL5/6. Lack of R‐Ras1 and R‐Ras2 produces an imbalance in mature oligodendrocyte subpopulation proportions. Abstract In the mammalian central nervous system, axonal myelination, executed by mature oligodendrocytes (MOLs), enables rapid ...

Distribution and palaeoenvironmental significance of mountain blockstreams in the southern hemisphere

open access: yesJournal of Quaternary Science, Volume 40, Issue 3, Page 537-557, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Openwork mountain block deposits (blockfields, blockstreams) have received much research interest globally given their visual appeal as prominent cold‐region landforms. However, studies have shown that these landforms in both glaciated and non‐glaciated environments are probably of considerable age (pre‐Quaternary), yet the environmental ...

The Academic Community Early Psychosis Intervention Network: Toward building a novel learning health system across six US states

open access: yesLearning Health Systems, Volume 9, Issue 2, April 2025.
Abstract Introduction Compared to usual care, specialty services for first‐episode psychosis (FES) have superior patient outcomes. The Early Psychosis Intervention Network (EPINET), comprised of eight U.S. regional clinical networks, aims to advance the quality of FES care within the ethos of learning healthcare systems (LHS). Among these, the Academic

Structuring the Prison Life Index Through Value Focused Thinking Methodology

open access: yesJournal of Multi-Criteria Decision Analysis, Volume 32, Issue 1, April 2025.
ABSTRACT Building a composite index (CI) is a task that requiring a series of decisions, the consequences of which will determine the scope of the tool. This is especially true for the very first steps of this construction: the definition of the theoretical framework and the selection of relevant indicators, usually referred to as the construction of ...

Molecular mechanism of Mad2 conformational conversion promoted by the Mad2‐interaction motif of Cdc20

open access: yesProtein Science, Volume 34, Issue 4, April 2025.
Abstract During mitosis, unattached kinetochores trigger the spindle assembly checkpoint by promoting the assembly of the mitotic checkpoint complex, a heterotetramer comprising Mad2, Cdc20, BubR1, and Bub3. Critical to this process is the kinetochore‐mediated catalysis of an intrinsically slow conformational conversion of Mad2 from an open (O‐Mad2 ...
