Regulation, Taxation, and Resources: Unpacking Greenhouse Gas Emission Drivers Across G7 Economies
ABSTRACT Advanced economies are under growing pressure to downscale greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions without undermining growth, yet G7 (Group of Seven) nations, representing almost 10% of the world's population, still generate one quarter of global GHGs.

How to stay wild in a highly domesticated landscape? Spatiotemporal behaviour of wolves in Germany
Wild animals can adapt to the increasing presence of humans by either becoming accustomed to it or by avoiding humans by spatiotemporal separation. The return of the wolf to the German lowlands raised the opportunity to study wolf behaviour in one of the most densely populated and fragmented countries in Europe, in an area where topography offers no ...

We summarize the current state of knowledge on the age of the Middle Pleistocene ice advances into northern central Europe and provide 25 new single‐grain feldspar luminescence ages of Elsterian and Saalian glacigenic sediments to constrain the age of the ice advances and their tentative correlation with marine isotope stages/substages.

The Megalopolis Basin is located in the central Peloponnese (Greece), a region that is situated along one of the primary Pleistocene biogeographical corridors for intracontinental hominin migration. The basin comprises several hundred metres of Plio‐Pleistocene sediments alternating between clastics and lignites.

Adsorption of Heavy Metals Lead and Cadmium in Soil by Modified Lignite
In this paper, the adsorption and resolution mechanism of heavy metals Pb2+ and Cd2+ by modified lignite were studied. Methods: Four single-factor gradient variables (pH value, amount of lignite, adsorption time, adsorption temperature) were designed to ...

Effects of lignite-based sulphur fertilizer levels on soil properties and growth of Brassica napus [PDF]
Lignite and sulphur are instrumental in enhancing the growth and yield-related traits of Brassica napus, commonly known as rapeseed. This study aimed to explore the effects of lignite-based sulphur fertilizers on Brassica napus production.

Glacially overdeepened valleys in the northern Alpine Foreland preserve Middle to Late Pleistocene sedimentary sequences that may serve as valuable archives for reconstructing past environmental changes in response to shifts in climate. This study presents a multidisciplinary analysis of two sediment cores from the overdeepened Wehntal Valley at ...
