Physiological responses of diploid and doubled diploid 'Rangpur' lime under water deficit [PDF]
In citrus, the use of rootstocks promotes productivity, improves fruit quality and may confer resistance or tolerance to biotic and abiotic stress. 'Rangpur' lime (Citrus limonia, Osbeck) is one of the most tolerant rootstock to drought and is largely ...

Long‐Term Elevated CO2 Improves Soil Health and Rice Yields in Paddy Fields
Combining the two longest‐running rice free‐air CO2 enrichment experiments with a global data synthesis, this study demonstrates that long‐term elevated CO2 consistently enhances soil health. In rice paddies, this improvement sustains the CO2 fertilization effect over decades.

Fibroblast activation protein alpha‐positive (FAPα+) macrophages, a distinct subset of multiple myeloma (MM)‐associated macrophages, drive immune evasion in MM through multi‐faceted mechanisms. FAPα physically interacts with vimentin (VIM) and triggers its phosphorylation at the S72 residue, which in turn induces PD‐L1 transcription. Additionally, FAPα

Robotic Materials With Bioinspired Microstructures for High Sensitivity and Fast Actuation
In the review paper, design rationale and approaches for bioinspired sensors and actuators in robotics applications are presented. These bioinspired microstructure strategies implemented in both can improve the performance in several ways. Also, recent ideas and innovations that embed robotic materials with logic and computation with it are part of the

How do medical professionals justify their involvement with live tissue training?
Background “Live tissue training” (LTT) is simulation that uses a live anaesthetised animal in place of a human patient. It is a training practice which is significantly contested, but continues to occur despite availability of alternative simulator ...

Blending Timed Formal Models with Clock Transition Systems [PDF]
International audienceIn this paper, we propose a new model for the design of safe communicating real-time systems. This model, called Clock Transition System (CTS), supersedes both Networks of Timed Automata (NTA) and Time Petri Nets (TPN) which are ...
