A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

ON COMPUTATIONAL DIFFERENCES OF CRITICAL POINTS ON EQUILIBRIUM CURVE

open access: yesInternational Journal for Computational Civil and Structural Engineering, 2017
In this paper, we discuss the features of investigating the type of the critical point on the equilibrium curve (bifurcation point or limit point). There are new ideas about the completion of the initial equilibrium at the limit point or bifurcation ...

Equilibrium concepts in the large-household model [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper formulates equilibrium concepts in the large (non atomic) household model under the team notion, characterizes a class of equilibrium allocations, explores whether an equilibrium allocation in the large-household model is a limit of ...

Quasi-Perfect Stackelberg Equilibrium

open access: yes, 2018
Equilibrium refinements are important in extensive-form (i.e., tree-form) games, where they amend weaknesses of the Nash equilibrium concept by requiring sequential rationality and other beneficial properties.

Mechanochemical Synthesis and Characterization of Nanostructured ErB4 and NdB4 Rare‐Earth Tetraborides

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
ErB4 and NdB4 nanostructured powders are produced by mechanochemical synthesis. 5 h mechanical alloying and 4 M HCl acid leaching are used in the production. ErB4 and NdB4 powders exhibit maximum magnetization of 0.4726 emu g−1 accompanied with an antiferromagnetic‐to‐paramagnetic phase transition at about TN = 18 K and 0.132 emu g−1 with a maximum at ...

Analysis of Static Stability of Earth-Rockfill Dam Slope Based on PSO-PR-IE Method

open access: yesRenmin Zhujiang
In order to fully consider the advantages of the anti-sliding performance of the contact interface using the partitioned rigid body–interface element (PR-IE) method, the static stability analysis method of earth-rockfill dam slope based on the PR-IE ...

Slope stability analyses using limit equilibrium and strength reduction methods

open access: yesGrađevinar, 2015
This paper presents results of comparative slope stability analyses conducted by limit equilibrium and strength reduction methods. Several slopes, taken either from geotechnical practice or literature review, are considered.

Revisiting Stability Criteria in Ball‐Milled High‐Entropy Alloys: Do Hume–Rothery and Thermodynamic Rules Equally Apply?

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 6, March 2025.
The stability criteria affecting the formation of high‐entropy alloys, particularly focusing in supersaturated solid solutions produced by mechanical alloying, are analyzed. Criteria based on Hume–Rothery rules are distinguished from those derived from thermodynamic relations. The formers are generally applicable to mechanically alloyed samples.

Bistable Mechanisms 3D Printing for Mechanically Programmable Vibration Control

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a 3D‐printed bistable mechanism integrated into tuned mass dampers (TMDs) for mechanically adaptive passive vibration suppression. Through optimized geometry, the bistable design provides adaptable vibration reduction across a broad range of scenarios, achieving effective vibration mitigation without complex controls or external ...
