Determinations of the critical sliding surface of planar sliding rock slopes and their stability analysis

open access: yes地质科技通报, 2022
It is still a difficult problem to determine the sliding surface of a rock slope quickly and accurately because the efficiency and accuracy cannot be met at the same time in traditional searching methods.

Rigorous results on the local equilibrium kinetics of a protein folding model

open access: yes, 2006
A local equilibrium approach for the kinetics of a simplified protein folding model, whose equilibrium thermodynamics is exactly solvable, was developed in [M. Zamparo and A. Pelizzola, Phys. Rev. Lett. 97, 068106 (2006)].

Stability Evaluation of Medium Soft Soil Pile Slope Based on Limit Equilibrium Method and Finite Element Method

open access: yesMathematics, 2022
The stability of an open-pit slope is an extremely important factor related to the safe production of an open-pit mine. It is the first safety technical problem encountered and should be solved in the process of mine design and production.

Stochastic Quantization for Complex Actions

open access: yes, 2008
We use the stochastic quantization method to study systems with complex valued path integral weights. We assume a Langevin equation with a memory kernel and Einstein's relations with colored noise.

A non-equilibrium equation-of-motion approach to quantum transport utilizing projection operators

open access: yes, 2014
We consider a projection operator approach to the non-equilbrium Green function equation-of-motion (PO-NEGF EOM) method. The technique resolves problems of arbitrariness in truncation of an infinite chain of EOMs, and prevents violation of symmetry ...

Study on the Seismic Active Earth Pressure by Variational Limit Equilibrium Method

open access: yesShock and Vibration, 2016
In the framework of limit equilibrium theory, the isoperimetric model of functional extremum regarding the seismic active earth pressure is deduced according to the variational method.

Evaluation of Limit Equilibrium and Finite Element Methods in Slope Stability Analysis - Case Study of Zaremroud Landslide, Iran [PDF]

open access: yesComputational Engineering and Physical Modeling, 2019
The events that result from slope instability that causes a mass of soil to move downward from an earth slope (landslides) are studied in this research.

Unique Equilibrium in Two-Part Tariff Competition between Two-Sided Platforms [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Two-sided market models in which platforms compete via two-part tariffs, i.e. a subscription and a per-transaction fee, are often plagued by a continuum of equilibria.

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).
