Angiogenic biomarker concentrations and their relation to coronary atherosclerosis in women with a history of preeclampsia: Findings from the CPH‐PRECIOUS study

open access: yesActa Obstetricia et Gynecologica Scandinavica, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that women with prior preeclampsia had significantly higher concentrations of PlGF when CT‐assessed coronary atherosclerosis was present years following the index pregnancy, whereas no difference was found for concentrations of sFlt‐1.

Detection of Residual Pluripotent Stem Cells in Differentiated Cells—General Requirements for Probe‐Based Quantitative PCR Assay

open access: yesCell Proliferation, EarlyView.
Residual PSC detection follows ultra‑trace‑analysis principles. LOD supports qualitative assessment. Assays employ PSC‑specific markers and proper references, with adaptation to differentiated cell populations from diverse PSC sources.

Expert Consensus on the Diagnosis and Monitoring of Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH): An Algorithmic Approach in an Era of New Treatments

open access: yesEuropean Journal of Haematology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH) is a rare hematologic disorder caused by a defect of glycosylphosphatidyl‐anchored proteins, leading to an uncontrolled complement‐mediated hemolysis. The advent of complement inhibitors in clinical practice radically changed patients' outcomes and survival.

A chemo‐enzymatic colorimetric cascade for detecting ethylene glycol contamination

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, EarlyView.
A chemo‐enzymatic cascade is developed for ethylene glycol (EG) detection. EG is oxidized by GoADH with C1‐mediated cofactor recycling to produce glycolaldehyde (GAL). GAL subsequently reacts with purpald to generate a detectable purple chromophore.

Afghanite: A New Silicate‐Matrix Reference Material for In Situ Halogen and Sulfur Microanalysis

open access: yesGeostandards and Geoanalytical Research, EarlyView.
Key Points A new silicate matrix reference material for in situ chlorine and sulfur determination. Homogeneous across all measured elements. No matrix effects for Cl when calibrating silicate matrices, in contrast to scapolite, which causes systematic Cl overestimation of up to 13%.
