Random sums of random vectors and multitype families of productive individuals

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 2004
We prove limit theorems for a family of random vectors whose coordinates are a special form of random sums of Bernoulli random variables. Applying these limit theorems, we study the number of productive individuals in n-type indecomposable critical ...

On limit theorems of Fortet–Kac type

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2008
We get the theorem of large deviations for sums of type \sum f(T jt) satisfying the conditions weaker than in [5] (see [5, pp. 221–227]).

An Adaptive Human Pilot Model With Reaction Time Delay for Enhanced Adaptive Control in Piloted Systems

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
This work introduces an adaptive human pilot model that captures pilot time‐delay effects in adaptive control systems. The model enables the prediction of pilot–controller interactions, facilitating safer integration and improved design of adaptive controllers for piloted applications.

A Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller

open access: yesInternational Journal of Adaptive Control and Signal Processing, EarlyView.
Block Diagram of the Robust Adaptive One‐Sample‐Ahead Preview Super‐Twisting Sliding Mode Controller. ABSTRACT This article introduces a discrete‐time robust adaptive one‐sample‐ahead preview super‐twisting sliding mode controller. A stability analysis of the controller by Lyapunov criteria is developed to demonstrate its robustness in handling both ...

Analyzing Electronic Excitations and Exciton Binding Energies in Y6 Films

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The Y6 molecule is used for increasing the efficiency of organic solar cells. The exciton binding energy is calculated for ensembles of Y6 molecules that are representative of the typically used films. The calculations show that the excitons typically spread out over many molecules.

On convergence of the accumulated insurance claim processes to the compound Poisson process

open access: yesLietuvos Matematikos Rinkinys, 2005
Convergence of the accumulated insurance claim processes is investigated when the number of clients of insurance company depeds on time. Conditions for convergence to the compound Poisson process in the function space D[0,∞) endowed with the Skorohod M1

Mechanical Properties of Architected Polymer Lattice Materials: A Comparative Study of Additive Manufacturing and CAD Using FEM and µ‐CT

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study examines how pore shape and manufacturing‐induced deviations affect the mechanical properties of 3D‐printed lattice materials with constant porosity. Combining µ‐CT analysis, FEM, and compression testing, the authors show that structural imperfections reduce stiffness and strength, while bulk material inhomogeneities probably enhance ...

Almost sure functional central limit theorems for multiparameter stochastic processes

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2008
We present almost sure central limit theorems for stochastic processes whose time parameter ranges over the d-dimensional unit cube. Our purpose here is to generalize the classic functional central limit theorem of Prokhorov (1956) for such processes. We

Strong limit theorems for anisotropic self-similar fields

open access: yesModern Stochastics: Theory and Applications, 2014
Our paper starts from presentation and comparison of three definitions for the self-similar field. The interconnection between these definitions has been established.

Structure–Transport–Ion Retention Coupling for Enhanced Nonvolatile Artificial Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Nitrogen incorporation into the conjugated backbone of donor–acceptor polymers enables efficient charge transfer and deep ion embedding in organic electrochemical synaptic transistors (OESTs). This molecular‐level design enhances non‐volatile synaptic properties, providing a new strategy for developing high‐performance and reliable neuromorphic devices.
