On-Line/Off-Line Digital Signatures [PDF]
A new type of signature scheme is proposed. It consists of two phases. The first phase is performed off-line, before the message to be signed is even known. The second phase is performed on-line, once the message to be signed is known, and is supposed to be very fast. A method for constructing such on-line/off-line signature schemes is presented.

Lightning is one of the main causes of damage on electric power systems. The modeling in ATPDraw(Electromagnetic transient program) allows to know the effect of different lightning and the transmission lineparameters, on the magnitude of the electric ...

GENETIC SOURCES FOR BREEDING BUSHY AND SHORT-VINE WATERMELON CULTIVARS
Background. When studying the collection of watermelon, it is important to disclose its genetic potential by identifying spontaneous mutations, using its accessions in crosses, and analyzing inheritance of its main traits in hybrids.

Broad Balmer-line Absorption in SDSS J172341.10+555340.5 [PDF]
I present the discovery of Balmer-line absorption from H alpha to H9 in iron low-ionizaton broad absorption line (FeLoBAL) quasar, SDSS~J172341.10+555340.5 by near-infrared spectroscopy with the Cooled Infrared Spectrograph and Camera for OHS (CISCO) attached to the Subaru telescope.

The emission-line spectrum of KUG 1031+398 and the Intermediate Line Region controversy [PDF]
We present results based on the analysis of optical spectra of the Narrow-Line Seyfert 1 (NLS1) galaxy KUG 1031+398, for which evidence was reported of a line-emitting region "intermediate" (both in terms of velocity and density) between the conventional Broad and Narrow Line Regions (BLR and NLR, respectively).

Accretion disk wind as explanation for the broad-line region structure in NGC 5548 [PDF]
Supermassive black holes in the centers of active galactic nuclei (AGN) are surrounded by broad-line regions (BLRs). The broad emission lines seen in the AGN spectra are emitted in this spatially unresolved region. We intend to obtain information on the structure and geometry of this BLR based on observed line profiles.

The pea aphid Acyrthosiphon pisum is an agriculturally important pest of leguminous plants including peas and broad beans. The widespread use of chemical pesticides impacts heavily on the environment, and increases pesticide-resistant pea aphid populations, so alternative strategies are being actively sought.

Fish receive much of their sensory information – used, for example, to guide their stunning schooling behaviour – from a particular sensory organ system, the lateral line. Hair cells sitting in neuromast organs that are scattered along the flank of the fish sense water movements, much as hair cells in our inner ear sense air movements. The lateral line

A number of objective reasons for the modern agrarian complex show that it is necessary to orient the most part of the agricultural establishments to a wider introduction of environmentally adaptable varieties.

Spectral Confusion for Cosmological Surveys of Redshifted CII Observations [PDF]
Far infrared cooling lines are ubiquitous features in the spectra of star forming galaxies. Surveys of redshifted fine-structure lines provide a promising new tool to study structure formation and galactic evolution at redshifts including the epoch of reionization as well as the peak of star formation.
