On Spatial Point Processes With Composition‐Valued Marks
Summary Methods for marked spatial point processes with scalar marks have seen extensive development in recent years. While the impressive progress in data collection and storage capacities has yielded an immense increase in spatial point process data with highly challenging non‐scalar marks, methods for their analysis are not equally well developed ...

Amazonian drought of 2023: Environmental conditions relevant to fishes
Abstract This paper provides a platform for the following studies within this Special Issue. ‘Ecophysiology of fishes in the two great tributaries of the Amazon in the Anthropocene’. It documents the water quality conditions and accompanying zooplankton community structure and biomass relative to fish health in the Rio Negro and Rio Solimões during the

State‐space analysis based pole‐to‐ground line fault isolation strategy for LCC–HVDC systems
The common way to isolate the line fault in line‐commutated converter‐based high‐voltage direct current (LCC‐HVDC) transmission grids is regulating the trigger angle of converters on both terminals of the faulted line, which usually depends entirely on ...

Subicular Astrocytes Govern Seizure‐Impaired Fear Memory
Astrocytes in dorsal subiculum act as a critical modulator of seizure‐associated cognitive dysfunction, operating through a Ca2+‐dependent adenosine‐linked astrocyte‐neuron signaling pathway that disrupts neuronal circuit homeostasis. This research highlights the potential of astrocyte‐targeted interventions as a therapeutic strategy, moving beyond the

Abstract Future projections of climate change are uncertain, in part because of uncertainty in future greenhouse gas emissions. However, current widely used emission scenarios and related physical climate projections have no probabilities associated with them, presenting a challenge for risk‐informed climate adaptation decision making.

The controllable line-commutated converter (CLCC) achieves forced commutation by using a hybrid connection of IGBTs and thyristors, effectively solving the inherent commutation failure (CF) problem of the line-commutated converter (LCC).

We propose a novel five‐level active‐neutral‐point‐clamped converter utilising reverse blocking IGBT (RB‐IGBT). The inverter configuration significantly reduces conduction losses, as only two switches are on the current paths in some switching states. We also propose an optimised state machine‐based modulation strategy.

This paper investigates the application of Finite Control Set Model Predictive Control (FCS‐MPC) for Brushless DC (BLDC) motor speed regulation under dynamic references, including sinusoidal, square, triangular, and sawtooth signals. A novel cost function is introduced to evaluate switching frequency effects, and the influence of different weighting ...

Research on emergency DC power support coordinated control for hybrid multi-infeed HVDC system
Based on the respective characteristics of line-commutated converter high-voltage direct current (LCC-HVDC) and voltage-source converter high voltage direct cur- rent (VSC-HVDC), two additional emergency DC power support (EDCPS) controllers are designed,

Based on the principle of circuit equivalence, this paper proposes a decoupling calculation method for the coupled parasitic inductance matrix. This method transforms the self‐inductances and complex coupled mutual inductances in the traditional coupled parasitic inductance matrix into single equivalent parasitic inductances.
