Bootstrapping line defects in AdS3/CFT2
We study correlators of insertions along 1/2 BPS line defects in the holographic dual to type IIB string theory in AdS 3 × S 3 × T 4 with mixed Ramond-Ramond and Neveu Schwarz-Neveu Schwarz three-form flux.

Fine Structure of the Carbon-Related Blue Luminescence Band in GaN
Photoluminescence studies reveal three CN-related luminescence bands in GaN doped with carbon: the YL1 band at 2.17 eV caused by electron transitions via the −/0 level of the CN, the BLC band at 2.85 eV due to transitions via the 0/+ level of the CN and ...

This study reveals that the small GTPase Rab14 is necessary for human papillomavirus (HPV) infection and plays an essential role in the transport of virions to the trans‐Golgi network (TGN). HPV in the early endosome (EE), which harbors GTP‐bound Rab14, is transported to the TGN through the switch of Rab14 from its GTP‐bound to GDP‐bound form.

A New Line Defect in NdTiO3 Perovskite [PDF]
Perovskite oxides form an eclectic class of materials owing to their structural flexibility in accommodating cations of different sizes and valences. They host well known point and planar defects, but so far no line defect has been identified other than dislocations.

The ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy as guardians of the cellular proteome
This Perspective covers the three principles governing the crosstalk between the ubiquitin‐proteasome system and autophagy in cellular proteostasis: (1) a shared ubiquitin code routing substrates via shuttle factors or autophagy receptors; (2) spatial compartmentalization into phase‐separated degradation hubs and organelle‐specific modules (exemplified

Ubiquitination of secretory granules promotes their crinophagic degradation in Drosophila
Ubiquitination of secretory granules in Drosophila larval salivary glands is a critical molecular trigger for crinophagy, the lysosomal degradation of unreleased, or low‐quality granules. The E3 ubiquitin ligase Cnot4 is recruited to the surface of secretory granules to induce crinophagy.

We have established a humanized orthotopic patient‐derived xenograft (Hu‐oPDX) mouse model of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) that recapitulates human tumor–immune interactions. Using combined anti‐PD‐L1/anti‐CD73 immunotherapy, we demonstrate the model's improved biological relevance and enhanced translational value for preclinical ...

Pinning of flux lines by planar defects
The influence of randomly distributed point impurities and planar defects on order and transport in type-II superconductors and related systems is studied. It is shown that the Bragg glass phase is unstable with respect to planar efects. Even a single weak defect plane oriented parallel to the magnetic field as well as to one of the main axis of the ...
