Results 81 to 90 of about 6,450,706 (320)
The interaction of 1/2 〈111〉 screw dislocation and point defects, including vacancy and self-interstitial atom (SIA), was investigated by molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.

Vortex nanoliquid in high-temperature superconductors [PDF]
Using a differential magneto-optical technique to visualize flow of transport currents, we reveal a new delocalization line within the reversible vortex liquid region in the presence of a low density of columnar defects. This line separates a homogeneous

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Atomistic model of metal nanocrystals with line defects: contribution to diffraction line profile
Molecular Dynamics (MD) was used to simulate cylindrical Pd and Ir domains with ideal dislocations parallel to the axis. Results show significant discrepancies with respect to predictions of traditional continuum mechanics.

Verification of an in Process Optical System based on High Resolution Interferometry for Detecting Flexible PV Barrier Films Defects [PDF]
The relationship between surface morphology, defects density and water vapor permeability of aluminium oxide (Al2O3) barrier coating on polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) films, used particularly to prevent water vapor and/or oxygen ingress into flexible ...

Critical vortex line length near a zigzag of pinning centers
A vortex line passes through as many pinning centers as possible on its way from one extremety of the superconductor to the other at the expense of increasing its self-energy. In the framework of the Ginzburg-Landau theory we study the relative growth in

Line defects and 5d instanton partition functions [PDF]
We consider certain line defect operators in five-dimensional SUSY gauge theories, whose interaction with the self-dual instantons is described by 1d ADHM-like gauged quantum mechanics constructed by Tong and Wong.

Hyperosmotic stress induces PARP1‐mediated HPF1‐dependent mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation
Sorbitol‐induced hyperosmotic stress rapidly induces reversible mono(ADP‐ribosyl)ation (MARylation) on PARP1 without the signs of genotoxic signaling. We show that PARP1 autoMARylation is HPF1 dependent and forms hydroxylamine‐resistant O‐glycosidic linkages.

The method of diagnosis and classification of the gingival line defects of the teeth hard tissues
For solving the problem of diagnosis and treatment of hard tissue defects the significant role belongs to the choice of tactics for dental treatment of hard tissue defects located in the gingival line of any tooth.
