Anomalous Fraunhofer Line Profiles [PDF]

open access: yesNature, 1962
DURING the spring of 1961 we made observations of the H line of Ca(II) in the spectrum of moonlight, with the view of detecting any luminescent radiation which might have been present. The observations were made with the 50-in. reflector of the University of Padua's Observatory at Asiago.

Stark Widths of Yb III and Lu IV Spectral Lines

open access: yesAtoms, 2019
Rare Earth Elements are important for stellar atmosphere analysis but the corresponding Stark broadening data are scarce. For Yb III and Lu IV theoretical as well as experimental data on Stark broadening parameters of spectral lines are absent in the ...

Emission Line Profiles from Self-Gravitating Thin Disks [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
We have constructed general relativistic models of a stationary, axially symmnetric, Keplerian thin disk around a rotating black hole. We computed profiles of a spectral line, emitted in the inner region of the disk.

Epigenomic profiling of neuroblastoma cell lines [PDF]

open access: yesScientific Data, 2020
Abstract Understanding the aberrant transcriptional landscape of neuroblastoma is necessary to provide insight to the underlying influences of the initiation, progression and persistence of this developmental cancer. Here, we present chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (ChIP-Seq) data for the oncogenic transcription factors, MYCN

Stark Broadening and White Dwarfs

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2011
White dwarf and pre-white dwarfs are the best types of stars for the application of Stark broadening research results in astrophysics, since in the atmospheres of these stars physical conditions are very favorable for this line broadening mechanism - in ...

Electron energy-loss spectroscopy of autoionizing states of zinc [PDF]

open access: yesSerbian Astronomical Journal, 2004
Autoionizing energy-loss spectra of Zn from 10.8 to 12.5 eV, for incident electron energies between 20 and 100 eV, have been recorded at scattering angles from 0° to 10°.

Line-profile variability of EZ CMa [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1995
CCD spectra for the unusual Wolf-Rayet star EZ CMa (WR6) are presented. The analysis of the profile changes of HeII lines shows a correlation between the gravity center of the line and the skewness (Robert et al. 1992). The fourth moment (kurtosis) changes with phase and looks epoch independent.

Stark Broadening of Several Ne II, Ne III and O III Spectral Lines for the Stark-B Database

open access: yesOpen Astronomy, 2011
In order to complete Stark broadening data for Ne II and O III lines, needed for analysis of stellar atmospheres, we determined the missing parameters for the broadening by collisions with protons and ionized helium for 15 Ne II and 5 O III multiplets ...

Stark Broadening of Se IV, Sn IV, Sb IV and Te IV Spectral Lines

open access: yesAtoms, 2018
Stark broadening parameters, line width and shift, are needed for investigations, analysis and modelling of astrophysical, laboratory, laser produced and technological plasmas.

Line profiles in expanding atmospheres [PDF]

open access: yesSymposium - International Astronomical Union, 1994
The analysis of the UV resonance transitions of superionized species observed in early-type stars suggests the presence of a high temperature region and an outward flow of matter (Snow & Marlborough 1976).
