Measurement of Line Profiles [PDF]
The basic requirements for high precision spectral line profile measurements are reviewed, with the observatory at the University of Western Ontario serving to illustrate several of the points.

A catalog of early-type emission-line stars and Hα line profiles from LAMOST DR2 [PDF]
We present a catalog including 11 204 spectra of 10 436 early-type emission-line stars from LAMOST DR2, among which 9752 early-type emission-line spectra are newly discovered.

Under-Developed and Under-Utilized Eclipsing Binary Model Capabilities [PDF]
Existing but largely unused binary star model capabilities are examined. An easily implemented scheme is parameterization of starspot growth and decay that can stimulate work on outer convection zones and their dynamos.

Stark Broadening of Al IV Spectral Lines
Stark widths for 23 transitions in Al IV have been calculated by employing the modified semiempirical method. The results are obtained for an electron density of 1017 cm−3 and temperatures from 10,000 K to 160,000 K.

Epigenomic profiling of neuroblastoma cell lines [PDF]
Abstract Understanding the aberrant transcriptional landscape of neuroblastoma is necessary to provide insight to the underlying influences of the initiation, progression and persistence of this developmental cancer. Here, we present chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing (ChIP-Seq) data for the oncogenic transcription factors, MYCN

Global computational alignment of tumor and cell line transcriptional profiles
Cell lines are key tools for preclinical cancer research, but it remains unclear how well they represent patient tumor samples. Direct comparisons of tumor and cell line transcriptional profiles are complicated by several factors, including the variable ...

Semiclassical Stark Broadening Parameters of Ar VII Spectral Lines
Using the semi-classical perturbation approach in the impact approximation, full width at half maximum and shift have been determined for eight spectral lines of Ar VII, for broadening by electron-, proton-, and He III-impacts.

THE Lyα LINE PROFILES OF ULTRALUMINOUS INFRARED GALAXIES: FAST WINDS AND LYMAN CONTINUUM LEAKAGE [PDF]
We present new Hubble Space Telescope Cosmic Origins Spectrograph far-ultraviolet (far-UV) spectroscopy and Keck Echellete optical spectroscopy of 11 ultraluminous infrared galaxies (ULIRGs), a rare population of local galaxies experiencing massive gas ...

IRIS Si iv LINE PROFILES: AN INDICATION FOR THE PLASMOID INSTABILITY DURING SMALL-SCALE MAGNETIC RECONNECTION ON THE SUN [PDF]
Our understanding of the process of fast reconnection has undergone a dramatic change in the last 10 years driven, in part, by the availability of high-resolution numerical simulations that have consistently demonstrated the break-up of current sheets ...

Stark Broadening of Several Ar I Spectral Lines in the Visible Spectrum
In order to complete data on Stark broadening parameters for Ar I line in the visible spectrum, we determined Stark widths and shifts due to electron, proton and ionized helium impacts for nine lines (4191.0, 4259.4, 5912.1, 6043.2, 6045.0, 6752.9, 7503 ...
