In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

The (Glg)ABCs of cyanobacteria: modelling of glycogen synthesis and functional divergence of glycogen synthases in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Heterosis and Combining Ability Analysis in Maize Using Line X Tester Model

open access: yesBangladesh Journal of Agricultural Research, 2023
Twenty-two lines were crossed with 2 testers in a Line × Tester mating design in 2017-18 and the resulting 44 crosses along with the lines, testers and three checks i.e., BARI Hybrid Maize 9 (BHM 9), 981 and Elite were evaluated in a alpha lattice design with two replications, during rabi, 2018-19.

Structural biology of ferritin nanocages

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ferritin is a conserved iron‐storage protein that sequesters iron as a ferric mineral core within a nanocage, protecting cells from oxidative damage and maintaining iron homeostasis. This review discusses ferritin biology, structure, and function, and highlights recent cryo‐EM studies revealing mechanisms of ferritinophagy, cellular iron uptake, and ...

Combining ability and gene action studies for seed yield and its components in Sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2012
Five CMS lines and six restorers were crossed in a line x tester fashion to elucidate the information on the combining abilityfor seed yield, yield components and oil content and also to know the nature of gene action involved in inheritance of important

MC-TESTER v. 1.23: a universal tool for comparisons of Monte Carlo predictions for particle decays in high energy physics

open access: yes, 2010
Theoretical predictions in high energy physics are routinely provided in the form of Monte Carlo generators. Comparisons of predictions from different programs and/or different initialization set-ups are often necessary.
