JWalk: a tool for lazy, systematic testing of java classes by design introspection and user interaction [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
Popular software testing tools, such as JUnit, allow frequent retesting of modified code; yet the manually created test scripts are often seriously incomplete.

The planar cell polarity protein Vangl2 interacts with the PDZ‐domains of Scribble but not with a unique PDZ‐like domain in Inturned

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Structural and biochemical characterisations show that the planar cell polarity (PCP) protein Inturned harbours a unique PDZ‐like domain that does not bind canonical PDZ‐binding motifs (PBMs) like that of another PCP protein Vangl2. In contrast, the apical‐basal polarity protein Scribble contains four PDZ domains that bind Vangl2, but one PDZ domain ...

Heterosis and combining ability analysis for grain yield and its component traits in aerobic rice (Oryza sativa L.) cultivars [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2013
An investigation on LxT analysis was carried out with six popular and ten improved cultures to estimate gene action, combining ability and heterosis for yield and drought tolerant traits under aerobic conditions.

Gene Action, Heterosis and Combining Ability in Maize Hybrids B- Using Line x Tester Analysis

open access: yesKufa Journal for Agricultural Sciences, 2021
A line x tester cross comprising eight pure lines, ZP–505, IK58, and HS, used as testers (female parents), DK-17, ZP- 430, ZP-595, UN44052, and POL-158, used as lines (male parents), was studied for nine traits (number of days to silking, number of days

Combining ability and gene action for grain yield and its attributing traits in pearl millet (Pennisetum glaucum [L.] R. Br.)

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Plant Breeding, 2018
Sixty hybrids of Pearl millet were developed by crossing six male sterile lines with ten diverse inbred lines and studied for its combining ability effects.

Deleting and Testing Forbidden Patterns in Multi-Dimensional Arrays [PDF]

open access: yes, 2017
Understanding the local behaviour of structured multi-dimensional data is a fundamental problem in various areas of computer science. As the amount of data is often huge, it is desirable to obtain sublinear time algorithms, and specifically property ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Calpain small subunit homodimerization is robust and calcium‐independent

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Calpains dimerize via penta‐EF‐hand (PEF) domains. Using single‐molecule force spectroscopy, we measured the strength and kinetics of PEF–PEF homodimer binding. The interaction is robust, shows a transient conformational step before dissociation, and remains largely insensitive to Ca2+.

Structural insights into an engineered feruloyl esterase with improved MHET degrading properties

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
A feruloyl esterase was engineered to mimic key features of MHETase, enhancing the degradation of PET oligomers. Structural and computational analysis reveal how a point mutation stabilizes the active site and reshapes the binding cleft, expading substrate scope.
