Numerical Linear Algebra [PDF]

open access: possible, 2011
Many methods of computational statistics lead to matrix-algebra or numerical-mathematics problems. For example, the least squares method in linear regression reduces to solving a system of linear equations, see Chap. III.8. The principal components method is based on finding eigenvalues and eigenvectors of a matrix, see Chap. III.6.

Parallel algebraic linear algebra dedicated interface

Proceedings of the 2015 International Workshop on Parallel Symbolic Computation, 2015
This work deals with parallelism in linear algebra routines. We propose a domain specific language based on C/C++ macros, PALADIn (Parallel Algebraic Linear Algebra Dedicated Interface). This domain specific language allows the user to write C++ code and benefit from sequential and parallel executions on shared memory architectures.
