Solution of a System of Linear Fredholm Integral Equations of the Second Kind by Iteration Methods [PDF]

open access: yesKirkuk Journal of Science, 2007
In this paper, we consider the linear system of Fredholm integral equation of the second kind. Three methods are used to solve this system, successive approximation method, Aitken's method depending on successive approximation method and a new procedure ...

Piecewise-Linear Approximation Methods for Nonseparable Convex Optimization [PDF]

open access: yesManagement Science, 1988
An algorithm is described for the solution of nonseparable convex optimization problems. This method utilizes iterative piecewise-linear approximation of the nonseparable objective function, but requires function values only along a translated set of axes, thereby avoiding the curse of dimensionality commonly associated with grid methods for multi ...

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Numerical Solution of Second-Order Fredholm Integrodifferential Equations with Boundary Conditions by Quadrature-Difference Method

open access: yesJournal of Applied Mathematics, 2017
In this research, the quadrature-difference method with Gauss Elimination (GE) method is applied for solving the second-order of linear Fredholm integrodifferential equations (LFIDEs).

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Laguerre Collocation Approach of Caputo Fractional Fredholm-Volterra Integro-Differential Equations

open access: yesUniversal Journal of Mathematics and Applications
This paper discusses the linear fractional Fredholm-Volterra integro-differential equations (IDEs) considered in the Caputo sense. For this purpose, Laguerre polynomials have been used to construct an approximation method to obtain the solutions of the ...

Modulation of Homer1 EVH1 domain internal dynamics by putative autism‐associated mutations

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The putative autism‐associated M65I and S97L variants of the EVH1 domain of the postsynaptic scaffold protein Homer1 do not exhibit substantial changes in their overall structure or partner binding. Both of them, but especially the M65I variant, show altered internal dynamics relative to the wild‐type domain on the μs‐ms timescale, indicated by the ...

An unexpected alternative viologen electron mediator site in tungsten‐containing formate dehydrogenase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
An unexpected alternative interaction site for ethyl viologen was identified in formate dehydrogenase 1 from Methylorubrum extorquens. Combined mutagenesis, kinetic analysis, and docking revealed that aromatic residues near an iron–sulfur cluster enable flavin mononucleotide‐independent electron transfer, offering a framework for engineering improved ...
