Maximum Intersection of Linear Codes and Codes Equivalent to Linear
Summary: We consider linear codes in a space over a finite field with the Hamming metric. A code is called pseudolinear if it is the image of a linear code under an isometric transformation of the space. We derive an upper bound \((q-2)M/q\) attainable for \(q\geqslant 3\) for the size of the intersection of two different pseudolinear codes of the same

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Self-Orthogonal Codes Constructed from Posets and Their Applications in Quantum Communication
It is an important issue to search for self-orthogonal codes for construction of quantum codes by CSS construction (Calderbank-Sho-Steane codes); in quantum error correction, CSS codes are a special type of stabilizer codes constructed from classical ...

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

On the (29,5)-Arcs in PG(2,7) and Some Generalized Arcs in PG(2,q)
Using an exhaustive computer search, we prove that the number of inequivalent ( 29 , 5 ) -arcs in PG ( 2 , 7 ) is exactly 22. This generalizes a result of Barlotti (see Barlotti, A.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Experimental verification of the linear and non-linear versions of a panel code
In the proposed paper numerical calculations are carried out using two versions of a three-dimensional, time-domain panel method developed by the group of Prof. P. Sclavounos at MIT, i.e.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

We reconstituted Synechocystis glycogen synthesis in vitro from purified enzymes and showed that two GlgA isoenzymes produce glycogen with different architectures: GlgA1 yields denser, highly branched glycogen, whereas GlgA2 synthesizes longer, less‐branched chains.

Matrix Factorization and Some Fast Discrete Transforms
In this paper, three discrete transforms related to vector spaces over finite fields are studied. For our purposes, and according to the properties of the finite fields, the most suitable transforms are as follows: for binary fields, this is the Walsh ...
