Repeated Burst Error Detecting Linear Codes

open access: yesRatio Mathematica, 2009
This paper presents lower bounds on the number of parity-check digits required for a linear code that is capable of detecting errors which are ‘m-repeated burst errors’.

Demi-matroids from codes over finite Frobenius rings

open access: yes, 2015
We present a construction of demi-matroids, a generalization of matroids, from linear codes over finite Frobenius rings, as well as a Greene-type identity for rank generating functions of demi-matroids.

Longitudinal circulating tumor DNA profiling in patients with advanced endometrial cancer using an off‐the‐shelf targeted NGS panel

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Three-stage turbo MBER Multiuser beamforming receiver using irregular convolutional codes

open access: yes, 2008
Based on extrinsic information transfer (EXIT) charts, the convergence behavior of a three-stage serially concatenated multiuser beamforming receiver is presented.

Interaction of HS1BP3 with cortactin modulates TKS5 localisation, cell secretion and cancer malignancy

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Here, we demonstrate that HS1BP3 interacts with Cortactin through a proline‐rich region (PRR3.1) and show that this interaction, and HS1BP3 itself, promote cancer cell proliferation and invasion. Inhibition of this interaction leads to build‐up of TKS5 in multivesicular endosomes and altered secretion of CD63 and CD9, providing an explanation for the ...

Quantum Codes as an Application of Constacyclic Codes

open access: yesAxioms
The main focus of this paper is to analyze the algebraic structure of constacyclic codes over the ring R=Fp+w1Fp+w2Fp+w22Fp+w1w2Fp+w1w22Fp, where w12−α2=0, w1w2=w2w1, w23−β2w2=0, and α,β∈Fp∖{0}, for a prime p.

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...

On the distance distribution of duals of BCH codes

open access: yes, 1999
We derive upper bounds on the components of the distance distribution of duals of BCH codes. Roughly speaking, these bounds show that the distance distribution can be upper-bounded by the corresponding normal distribution. To derive the bounds we use the

Clinical performance of the urine‐based TERT promoter AbsoluteQ Digital PCR for non‐invasive detection of bladder cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A urine‐based digital PCR assay targeting two hotspot TERT promoter variants detected bladder cancer with high sensitivity and no false positives in this case–control cohort. The streamlined AbsoluteQ workflow outperformed Sanger sequencing and supports non‐invasive molecular testing for bladder cancer detection.

Linear codes from projective spaces

open access: yes, 2010
The linear code $\C_{s,t}(n,q)$ of $s$-spaces and $t$-spaces in a projective space $\PG(n,q)$, $q=p^h$, $p$ prime, is defined as the vector space spanned over $\mathbb{F}_p$ by the rows of the incidence matrix of $s$-spaces and $t$-spaces.
