Quantum algorithm for nonhomogeneous linear partial differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review A, 2018
We describe a quantum algorithm for preparing states that encode solutions of non-homogeneous linear partial differential equations. The algorithm is a continuous-variable version of matrix inversion: it efficiently inverts differential operators that ...

A histidine‐rich extension of the mitochondrial F0 subunit ATP6 from the ice worm Mesenchytraeus solifugus increases ATP synthase activity in bacteria

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The glacier ice worm Mesenchytraeus solifugus survives year‐round at 0 °C. Its ATP6 subunit, which forms a regulatory component of the proton pore in mitochondrial ATP synthase, has a carboxy‐terminal extension not found in any other organism examined to date. Here, we show that fusion of this extension to the homologous AtpB protein in E. coli results

Reproducing Kernel Space Method for the Solution of Linear Fredholm Integro-Differential Equations and Analysis of Stability

open access: yesAbstract and Applied Analysis, 2012
We present a numerical method to solve the linear Fredholm integro-differential equation in reproducing kernel space. A simple algorithm is given to obtain the approximate solutions of the equation. Through the comparison of approximate and true solution,

Functional variation among LPMOs revealed by the inhibitory effects of cyanide and buffer ions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This study addresses the inhibition of lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) by cyanide and explains how and why the magnitude of observed inhibitory effects depends on the way LPMO reactions are setup and on the type of LPMO. Enzymes known as lytic polysaccharide monooxygenases (LPMOs) are mono‐copper polysaccharide‐degrading peroxygenases that ...

Numerical integration of the boundary value problems for the second order nonlinear ordinary differential equations of an arbitrary structure using an iterative procedure

open access: yesVestnik Samarskogo Gosudarstvennogo Tehničeskogo Universiteta. Seriâ: Fiziko-Matematičeskie Nauki, 2016
An iterative procedure for numerical integration of boundary-value problems for nonlinear ordinary differential equations of the second order of arbitrary structure is suggested.

Constructive factorization of LPDO in two variables

open access: yes, 2005
We study conditions under which a partial differential operator of arbitrary order $n$ in two variables or ordinary linear differential operator admits a factorization with a first-order factor on the left.

On the local linearization of differential equations [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 1963
1. Consider the autonomous system of real, nonlinear differential equations (1.1) x' = Ex+F(x), where F(I x)= o(IxI) as x -0, x is a (Euclidean) vector, F(x) a smooth vector-valued function of x, and E a constant matrix with eigenvalues el, e2, -satisfying (1.2) Re ej 5 0.

The apo LETM1 F‐EF‐hand adopts a closed conformation that underlies a multi‐modal sensory role in mitochondria

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present the first solution structure of the Ca2+‐depleted LETM1 F‐EF‐hand through a D676A/N678A Ca2+ binding‐deficient mutant, revealing a closed hydrophobic cleft caused by a unique F1‐helix pivot. The apo LETM1 F‐EF‐hand exhibits regiospecific hot and cold unfolding, sensitivity to physiological pH changes and potential for promiscuous heterotypic

Nonlinear differential equation with first order partial derivatives

open access: yesВестник КазНУ. Серия математика, механика, информатика, 2018
The asymptotic behavior of solutions of a nonlinear differential equation with first-order partial derivatives solved with respect to one of the derivatives is investigated.

Structural and mechanistic basis for the regulation of the chloroplast signal recognition particle by (p)ppGpp

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LHCPs are transported to the thylakoid membrane via the (cp)SRP pathway. This process involves a transit complex of (cp)SRP43, (cp)SRP54 and LHCP, which interacts with (cp)FtsY and Alb3 at the membrane. GTP hydrolysis by (cp)SRP54 and (cp)FtsY triggers complex dissociation.
