A Layering Linear Discriminant Analysis-Based Fault Diagnosis Method for Grid-Connected Inverter

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2022
Grid-connected inverters are the core equipment for connecting marine energy power generation systems to the public electric utility. The variation of current sensor fault severity will make fault samples multimodal. However, linear discriminant analysis

The Geometry of Nonlinear Embeddings in Kernel Discriminant Analysis

open access: yes, 2020
Fisher's linear discriminant analysis is a classical method for classification, yet it is limited to capturing linear features only. Kernel discriminant analysis as an extension is known to successfully alleviate the limitation through a nonlinear ...

Robust Linear Discriminant Analysis [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics and Statistics, 2016
Linear Discriminant Analysis (LDA) is the most commonly employed method for classification. This method which creates a linear discriminant function yields optimal classification rule between two or more groups under the assumptions of normality and homoscedasticity (equal covariance matrices).

Indole‐3‐Propionic Acid Improves Alveolar Development Impairment via Targeting VAMP8‐mediated SNAREs Complex Formation in Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study aims to evaluate the impact of the tryptophan‐derived metabolite indole‐3‐propionic acid (IPA) on lung development and autophagic flux. IPA alleviates hyperoxia‐induced alveolar arrest by promoting autophagosome‐lysosome fusion via inhibition of VAMP8 phosphorylation, which is suggestive of a promising therapeutic target of BPD.
