[Evaluation of linear distortions in rheography].

Meditsinskaia tekhnika, 1979
Methods permitting to estimate parameters of hemodynamics through bioimpedance measurements have gained ground in study and diagnosis of the cardiovascular system. The error in bioimpedance measurement depends considerably on dynamic characteristics of the measuring devices being employed.

The determination of linear distortion in nuclear emulsions

British Journal of Applied Physics, 1957
The ratio of the linear distortion vector to the curvature distortion vector is found to be (2.03 ± 0.03) within the temperature range (for hot-stage development), of 15-24° C. The vectors are found to be in opposite directions. Some consequences of distortion are considered.

Linearization: reducing distortion in power amplifiers

IEEE Microwave Magazine, 2001
This article discusses techniques for the cancellation of distortion (linearization) in power amplifiers. Different methods of linearization are introduced and compared. The linearization of solid-state power amplifiers (SSPAs), traveling-wave tube amplifiers (TWTAs) and klystron power amplifiers (KPAs) are considered.

Neural Compensation of Linear Distortion in Digital Communications

2004
In this paper, we proposed a novel and simple linear distortion compensation scheme utilizing Kohonen’s neural network for digital communications. The scheme compensates the distortions that exist in modulator and demodulator, at the decision stage of the receiver at the same time of data transmission and decision process. The scheme can compensate not

Non-linear Signal Distortion Correlation†

International Journal of Control, 1965
ABSTRACT The output from a non-linear element can be considered as composed of two portions, one proportional to the input signal and the other a distortion noise. The paper is interested in determining the conditions for which there is no correlation between signal and noise, For a statistically stationary process the limitation is on the form of the ...

Digital adaptable Pre-Distortion Linearization

2007 IEEE International Vacuum Electronics Conference, 2007
This paper describes an adaptive digital RF predistorter using lookup table (LUT), phase shift and attenuator modules. The LUT are deduced from the behaviour of input and output signals of the high power amplifier (HPA). The measured intermodulation product of a linearized SSPA reveals a significant improvement despite the non monotonic behaviour of ...

Non-Linear Distortion in Hearing Aids

The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1951
Measurements of non-linear distortion were made on a typical hearing aid by three standard methods. These methods are: (1) the harmonic method, (2) the intermodulation method that evaluates distortion in terms of the modulation of a high frequency tone by a low frequency tone, and (3) the difference-frequency intermodulation method, which evaluates ...
