Fractional Positive Continuous-Time Linear Systems and Their Reachability [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2008
Fractional Positive Continuous-Time Linear Systems and Their Reachability A new class of fractional linear continuous-time linear systems described by state equations is introduced. The solution to the state equations is derived using the Laplace transform.

The Periodogram of fractional processes. [PDF]

open access: yes
We analyse asymptotic properties of the discrete Fourier transform and the periodogram of time series obtained through (truncated) linear filtering of stationary processes.

Fractional order linear quadratic regulator

open access: yes, 2008
-In this paper, we formulate the fractional linear controllability of fractional-order linear time invariant (FO-quadratic regulator (LQR) problem. The analytical solution of LTI) systems. Several new controllers for the application of fractional optimal

How structural disorder and polyelectrolyte properties of prothymosin α enable its large interactome

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this review, complexes of the fully disordered and highly negatively charged prothymosin α are collected, described, and discussed. Linked to its poly‐electrostatic character, prothymosin α engages a large interactome through multiple different binding modes ranging from fully disordered complexes to short linear motif (SLiM)‐driven interactions ...

Reachability of Cone Fractional Continuous-Time Linear Systems [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Applied Mathematics and Computer Science, 2009
Reachability of Cone Fractional Continuous-Time Linear SystemsA new class of cone fractional continuous-time linear systems is introduced. Necessary and sufficient conditions for a fractional linear system to be a cone fractional one are established. Sufficient conditions for the reachability of cone fractional systems are given.

Control of a Fractional-Order Arneodo System

open access: yes, 2011
In this work, stability analysis of the Fractional-Order Arneodo system is studied by using the fractional Routh-Hurwitz criteria. Furthermore, the fractional Routh-Hurwitz conditions are used to control chaos in the proposed fractional-order system to ...

Developmental programmes drive cellular plasticity, disease progression and therapy resistance in lung adenocarcinoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study shows that lung adenocarcinomas exploit developmental branching morphogenesis to acquire a therapy resistant basal‐like tumour cell state. This process was found to be regulated by combined TP53 loss‐of‐function and type‐I interferon signalling, identifying a novel axis for biomarker and therapeutic target discovery.

Synchronization of Time Delayed Fractional Order Chaotic Financial System

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2017
The research on a time delayed fractional order financial chaotic system is a hot issue. In this paper, synchronization of time delayed fractional order financial chaotic system is studied. Based on comparison principle of linear fractional equation with

Stochastic Control for Linear Systems Driven by Fractional Noises

open access: yesSIAM Journal on Control and Optimization, 2005
This paper is concerned with optimal control of stochastic linear systems involving fractional Brownian motion (FBM). First, as a prerequisite for studying the underlying control problems, some new results on stochastic integrals and stochastic differential equations associated with FBM are established.

A design methodology to enable sampling PLLs to synthesise fractional-N frequencies [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
A novel design methodology is proposed to enable sampling phase-locked loops (SPLL) to synthesise fractional-N frequencies. To date, SPLL can only generate integer-N frequencies.
