Linear Interpolation on a Tetrahedron

Proceedings of the Steklov Institute of Mathematics, 2020
In this paper the author studies linear interpolation on a tetraedron of a function with second-order partial derivatives limited. He also studies certain estimates of the first derivatives of the given interpolator function and compares these results with those already known on this subject.

Incremental linear interpolation

ACM Transactions on Graphics, 1985
Two incremental linear interpolation algorithms are derived and analyzed for speed and accuracy. The first is a version of a “simple” digital differential analyzer (DDA) employing fixed-point arithmetic, whereas the second is a new algorithm that uses only integral arithmetic and is a generalization of Bresenham's line-drawing algorithm.

Interpolation of linear operators

Journal of Soviet Mathematics, 1988
Summary: This survey is devoted to the contemporary state of the theory of interpolation of linear operators acting in Banach spaces. The main attention is paid to real and complex methods, and applications of the theory of interpolation to analysis.

Linear Interpolation Functions

2011
Methods for obtaining the weighting function, w and the approximation function, ũ used in Chap. 2 are outlined in this chapter. The finite element method will not be amenable to solution without this most important step. If this step is well-understood, the other steps in the finite element equation derivation become easy.

Sequential linear interpolation of multidimensional functions

IEEE Transactions on Image Processing, 1997
We introduce a new approach that we call sequential linear interpolation (SLI) for approximating multidimensional nonlinear functions. The SLI is a partially separable grid structure that allows us to allocate more grid points to the regions where the function to be interpolated is more nonlinear.

Linear interpolation of histograms

Nuclear Instruments and Methods in Physics Research Section A: Accelerators, Spectrometers, Detectors and Associated Equipment, 1999
Abstract A prescription is defined for the interpolation of probability distributions that are assumed to have a linear dependence on a parameter of the distributions. The distributions may be in the form of continuous functions or histograms. The prescription is based on the weighted mean of the inverses of the cumulative distributions between which

Linear and Nonlinear Interpolators

IEEE Transactions on Electronic Computers, 1963
When diode selection circuits are fed with signals that vary linearly with an input variable, they produce as output a convex or concave function consisting of one linear section per diode. In the present circuits, by combining each diode with a suitable series ``interpolating'' resistor, and feeding the output connection with constant current, it is ...
