Insights into PI3K/AKT signaling in B cell development and chronic lymphocytic leukemia
This Review explores how the phosphoinositide 3‐kinase and protein kinase B pathway shapes B cell development and drives chronic lymphocytic leukemia, a common blood cancer. It examines how signaling levels affect disease progression, addresses treatment challenges, and introduces novel experimental strategies to improve therapies and patient outcomes.

Linear maps preserving parallel matrix pairs with respect to the Ky-Fan $k$-norm [PDF]
Two bounded linear operators $A$ and $B$ are parallel with respect to a norm $\|\cdot\|$ if $\|A+\mu B\| = \|A\| + \|B\|$ for some scalar $\mu$ with $|\mu| = 1$. Characterization is obtained for bijective linear maps sending parallel bounded linear operators to parallel bounded linear operators with respect to the Ky-Fan $k$-norms.

The Singular Value Expansion for Arbitrary Bounded Linear Operators
The singular value decomposition (SVD) is a basic tool for analyzing matrices. Regarding a general matrix as defining a linear operator and choosing appropriate orthonormal bases for the domain and co-domain allows the operator to be represented as ...

Unraveling Mycobacterium tuberculosis acid resistance and pH homeostasis mechanisms
Mycobacterium tuberculosis exhibits a remarkable resilience to acid stress. In this Review, we discuss some of the molecular mechanisms and metabolic pathways used by the tubercle bacilli to adapt and resist host‐mediated acid stress. Mycobacterium tuberculosis (Mtb) is a successful pathogen that has developed a variety of strategies to survive and ...

Some special characterisations of Fredholm operators in Banach space
A bounded linear operator which has a finite index and which is defined on a Banach space is often referred to in the literature as a Fredholm operator. Fredholm operators are important for a variety of reasons, one being the role that their index plays

The power of microRNA regulation—insights into immunity and metabolism
MicroRNAs are emerging as crucial regulators at the intersection of metabolism and immunity. This review examines how miRNAs coordinate glucose and lipid metabolism while simultaneously modulating T‐cell development and immune responses. Moreover, it highlights how cutting‐edge artificial intelligence applications can identify miRNA biomarkers ...

A new Green function concept for fourth-order differential equations
A linear completely nonhomogeneous generally nonlocal multipoint problem is investigated for a fourth-order differential equation with generally nonsmooth coefficients satisfying some general conditions such as p-integrability and boundedness.

Assistive Planning in Complex, Dynamic Environments: a Probabilistic Approach
We explore the probabilistic foundations of shared control in complex dynamic environments. In order to do this, we formulate shared control as a random process and describe the joint distribution that governs its behavior. For tractability, we model the

Dilatations of Linear Operators
The article is devoted to building various dilatations of linear operators. The explicit construction of a unitary dilation of a compression operator is considered. Then the J -unitary dilatation of a bounded operator is constructed by means of the operator knot concept of a bounded linear operator.
