Linear Parameter-Varying Control of Complex Mechanical Systems
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2014In standard linear fractional representation (LFR)-based linear parameter-varying (LPV) modeling the size of the (diagonal) scheduling block depends on the number of scheduling parameters and their repetitions, which in turn influences both the complexity of synthesis conditions and the computational load during online implementation of LPV controllers.

Linear Parameter-Varying System Identification
2011This review volume reports the state-of-the-art in Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) system identification. Written by world renowned researchers, the book contains twelve chapters, focusing on the most recent LPV identification methods for both discrete-time and continuous-time models, using different approaches such as optimization methods for input ...

Analysis of hybrid linear parameter-varying systems
Proceedings of the 2003 American Control Conference, 2003., 2004This paper proposes a new hybrid linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems and investigates some characteristics of these systems. A hybrid LPV system is defined by a ser of LPV systems and average dwell-time as a model of discrete event dynamics. This system encompasses typical LPV systems and emerging hybrid systems such as reconfigurable flight control.

Linear parameter-varying descriptions of nonlinear systems
Proceedings of the 2004 American Control Conference, 2004Recent methods for gain scheduling controller design based on linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems offer a systematic way to obtain a nonlinear controller. However, the non-unique LPV description of the nonlinear system is essential for the performance of the design. In this paper, two approaches to obtain LPV descriptions are presented.

Fault diagnosis of linear parameter varying systems
2015 International Conference on Innovations in Information, Embedded and Communication Systems (ICIIECS), 2015In this paper the fault tolerant control for the linear parameter varying systems is proposed with the motivation to reconfigure the control loop without retuning the nominal controller. The active fault tolerant control strategy is used in which the virtual actuator and virtual sensor blocks are added to the nominal control loop that will mask the ...

Linear Parameter-Varying System Identification: The Subspace Approach
2012In the past two decades, a significant amount of research has been carried out on Linear Parameter-Varying (LPV) systems. It has been shown that LTI control synthesis techniques like optimal and robust control can be extended to the LPV case. Notwithstanding the advances in LPV control, the identification of such systems is still not completely ...

Cooperative control of linear parameter-varying systems
2012 American Control Conference (ACC), 2012The state consensus problem among groups of linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems is addressed. The systems are assumed to have an identical LPV structure. We consider both homogeneous groups, where the time-varying parameters are identical, and heterogeneous groups, where the parameters can be different for all agents.

FAULT DIAGNOSIS IN LINEAR PARAMETER VARYING SYSTEMS
IFAC Proceedings Volumes, 2006Abstract This paper presents a new approach to solve the FDI (Fault Detection and Isolation) problems in Linear Parameter-Varying (LPV) systems. A sufficient condition is established for guaranteeing fault sensitivity performance. The design problem is formulated within the LPV polytopic modeling framework and solved using LMI optimization techniques.

Structured control of affine linear parameter varying systems
Proceedings of the 2011 American Control Conference, 2011This paper presents a new procedure to design structured controllers for discrete-time affine linear parameter-varying systems (A-LPV). The class of control structures includes decentralized of any order, fixed-order output feedback, simultaneous plant-control design, among others.

An inverse system for linear parameter-varying max-plus-linear systems
Proceedings of the 41st IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002., 2004The Max-Plus-Linear (MPL) system is a state-space description for a certain class of discrete-event-systems that are-linear in max-plus algebra. This paper considers an extended description of MPL systems with a linear parameter varying structure, which is called LPV-MPL systems, and proposes an inverse system of the LPV-MPL system, which calculates ...
