Linear Parameter-Varying System Identification
2011This review volume reports the state-of-the-art in Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) system identification. Written by world renowned researchers, the book contains twelve chapters, focusing on the most recent LPV identification methods for both discrete-time and continuous-time models, using different approaches such as optimization methods for input ...

Approximation of linear parameter-varying systems
Proceedings of 35th IEEE Conference on Decision and Control, 2002Two well known LTI approximation methods-balanced truncation and optimal Hankel norm approximation-are extended to the LPV framework. Quadratic stability of the approximants and generalisations of known LTI error bounds are examined. The concept of the graph operator of an LPV system is discussed.

Linear parameter varying approach to wind turbine control
Proceedings of 14th International Power Electronics and Motion Control Conference EPE-PEMC 2010, 2010Design of linear parameter varying control (LPV) for wind turbines is considered in this paper. Multivariable, robust control law, which can guarantee stability and desired performance in the whole operating region of the wind turbine, is obtained. LPV controller is compared with a classical controller.

The Behavioral Approach to Linear Parameter-Varying Systems
IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, 2011Linear parameter-varying (LPV) systems are usually described in either state-space or input-output form. When analyzing system equivalence between different representations it appears that the time-shifted versions of the scheduling signal (dynamic dependence) need to be taken into account.

Linear, parameter-varying control of a supercavitating vehicle
Control Engineering Practice, 2009A systematic approach to parameter-dependent control synthesis of a high-speed supercavitation vehicle (HSSV) is presented. The aim of the control design is to provide robust reference tracking across a large flight envelope, while directly accounting for the interaction of liquid and gas phases with the vehicle.

Robust linear parameter‐varying control of induction motors
International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, 2014SummaryThe paper deals with the motion control of an induction motor. Because the nonlinear state equations describing the dynamics of such a machine can be embedded into a linear model with the rotor speedωas a varying parameter, advantage is taken of some recent results on the control of linear parameter‐varying systems, thus ensuring stability ...

Interval observer design for continuous-time linear parameter-varying systems
Systems & control letters (Print), 2019This paper studies interval observer design for linear parameter-varying systems subject to uncertainties in parameters, input and output. Based on a general assumption that these uncertainties are unknown but bounded by known intervals, a novel interval
