Piecewise Linear Power Flow Algorithm of DC Distribution Networks Considering Automatic Adjustment of VSC Control Strategy

open access: yesEnergies, 2023
Voltage source converter (VSC)-based DC distribution networks (DCDNs) can automatically adjust the control strategy of overloaded VSCs to adapt to the variation in renewable energy power, but it brings difficulties to the steady-state performance ...

Linear AC Three-Phase OPF Model for Active Distribution Networks with Unbalanced ZIP Loads

open access: yesBrazilian Archives of Biology and Technology, 2022
: Although nonlinear Alternating Current (AC) Optimal Power Flow (OPF) may provide more accurate results compared to linearized OPF models, many ACOPF problems are complex and may require high, sometimes infeasible, computational time.

Generalized linear‐constrained optimal power flow for distribution networks

open access: yesIET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, 2023
Optimal power flow (OPF) plays an important role in the secure and economical operation of the distribution network. This paper proposes a novel generalized linear‐constrained optimal power flow (GLOPF) model for both radial and mesh distribution ...

An Extended DC Power Flow Model Considering Voltage Magnitude

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2021
A quasi-linear relationship between voltage angles and voltage magnitudes in power flow calculation is presented. An accurate estimation of voltage magnitudes can be provided by the quasi-linear relationship when voltage angles are derived by classical ...

Linear approximations to AC power flow in rectangular coordinates [PDF]

open access: yes2015 53rd Annual Allerton Conference on Communication, Control, and Computing (Allerton), 2015
This paper explores solutions to linearized powerflow equations with bus-voltage phasors represented in rectangular coordinates. The key idea is to solve for complex-valued perturbations around a nominal voltage profile from a set of linear equations that are obtained by neglecting quadratic terms in the original nonlinear power-flow equations.

Data-driven Power Flow Method Based on Exact Linear Regression Equations

open access: yesJournal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy, 2022
Power flow (PF) is one of the most important calculations in power systems. The widely-used PF methods are the Newton-Raphson PF (NRPF) method and the fast-decoupled PF (FDPF) method.
