Evolutionary interplay between viruses and R‐loops
Viruses interact with specialized nucleic acid structures called R‐loops to influence host transcription, epigenetic states, latency, and immune evasion. This Perspective examines the roles of R‐loops in viral replication, integration, and silencing, and how viruses co‐opt or avoid these structures.

The essential multiobjectivity of linear programming
It is argued that any non-trivial real world problems involve multiple objectives. The simplistic approach of combining objectives in linear form can generate highly misleading and biased results, and is poor operational research practice.

Lexicographic Methods for Fuzzy Linear Programming
Fuzzy Linear Programming (FLP) has addressed the increasing complexity of real-world decision-making problems that arise in uncertain and ever-changing environments since its introduction in the 1970s.

Disruption of SETD3‐mediated histidine‐73 methylation by the BWCFF‐associated β‐actin G74S mutation
The β‐actin G74S mutation causes altered interaction of actin with SETD3, reducing histidine‐73 methylation efficiency and forming two distinct actin variants. The variable ratio of these variants across cell types and developmental stages contributes to tissue‐specific phenotypical changes. This imbalance may impair actin dynamics and mechanosensitive

Purification tags markedly affect self‐aggregation of CPEB3
Although recombinant proteins are used to study protein aggregation in vitro, uncleaved tags can interfere with accurate interpretation. Our findings demonstrate that His₆‐GFP and His₁₂ tags significantly affect liquid droplet and amyloid fibril formation in the intrinsically disordered region (IDR) of mouse cytoplasmic polyadenylation element‐binding ...

A New Algorithm for Privacy-Preserving Horizontally Partitioned Linear Programs
In a linear programming for horizontally partitioned data, the equality constraint matrix is divided into groups of rows. Each group of the matrix rows and the corresponding right-hand side vector are owned by different entities, and these entities are ...

Linear and non-linear optimization models for the selection of investment portfolio
This research suggests a maxmin model for the selection of investment portfolios. The risk evaluation coefficients are introduced. The components of portfolio are found by solving linear programming task in onemodel and non-linear programming task in the

Circulating histones as clinical biomarkers in critically ill conditions
Circulating histones are emerging as promising biomarkers in critical illness due to their diagnostic, prognostic, and therapeutic potential. Detection methods such as ELISA and mass spectrometry provide reliable approaches for quantifying histone levels in plasma samples.

Linear Programming Relaxations of Quadratically Constrained Quadratic Programs
We investigate the use of linear programming tools for solving semidefinite programming relaxations of quadratically constrained quadratic problems. Classes of valid linear inequalities are presented, including sparse PSD cuts, and principal minors PSD ...
