Linear regression model for investment analysis of an oil company

open access: yesRevista Produção e Desenvolvimento, 2015
Changes in global economic environment meant that companies, particularly publicly traded, seek adaptations to global market model, which gives preference to the analysis of stock indicators profitability.

Gaussian process single-index models as emulators for computer experiments

open access: yes, 2011
A single-index model (SIM) provides for parsimonious multi-dimensional nonlinear regression by combining parametric (linear) projection with univariate nonparametric (non-linear) regression models.

Residual tail twisting in ascidian larvae is stabilized by asymmetric myofibrils that resist bilateral symmetry restoration

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Ascidian Ciona larvae initially show strong clockwise tail twisting, which is largely corrected during development. However, a small residual twist remains. This study shows that organized helical myofibrils in tail muscles mechanically stabilize this residual asymmetry, preventing complete restoration of bilateral symmetry and revealing how embryos ...

A Two-way Crossed Effects Fuzzy Panel Linear Regression Model

open access: yesInternational Journal of Computational Intelligence Systems
Over the last two decades, the panel data model has become a focus of applied research. While there are numerous proposals for soft regression models in the literature, only a few linear regression models have been proposed based on fuzzy panel data ...

Linear regression model with a randomly censored predictor:Estimation procedures

open access: yes, 2017
We consider linear regression model estimation where the covariate of interest is randomly censored. Under a non-informative censoring mechanism, one may obtain valid estimates by deleting censored observations.

The human gut microbiome across the life course

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Despite significant individual variation and continuous change throughout life, the human gut microbiome follows some life stage‐specific trends. This article provides a brief overview of how gut microbiome composition shifts across different phases of life. Created in BioRender. Özkurt, E. (2026) https://BioRender.com/8q4nrnc.

Degradation mechanism of the von Willebrand factor A2 domain by nattokinase

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Nattokinase, a natto‐derived protease, exhibits potent antithrombotic effects. This study demonstrates that nattokinase directly cleaves the von Willebrand factor (vWF) A2 domain in vitro. Unlike the native regulator ADAMTS13, nattokinase degrades folded vWF independently of shear stress.

Robust Estimation in Generalised Linear Models : The Density Power Divergence Approach

open access: yes, 2014
The generalised linear model (GLM) is a very important tool for analysing real data in biology, sociology, agriculture, engineering and many other application domain where the relationship between the response and explanatory variables may not be linear ...

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.
