In this paper, the class of matrix functions A(t) is determined for which the condition that the pointwise spectrum σ(A(t))⊂z∈C;ℜz≤−α for all t≥t0 and some α>0 is sufficient for uniform asymptotic stability of the linear time-varying system x˙=A(t)x.

Stability-Constraint-Free Solutions to Solve Time-Varying Linear Equation System
Time-varying linear equation systems have been solved by the traditional zeroing neural dynamics approach in recent years. However, this method has to satisfy the stability constraint, which is a very rigorous condition.

Balanced Truncation of Linear Time-Varying Systems [PDF]
In this paper, balanced truncation of linear time-varying systems is studied in discrete and continuous time. Based on relatively basic calculations with time-varying Lyapunov equations/inequalities we are able to derive both upper and lower error bounds for the truncated models. These results generalize well-known time-invariant formulas.

Zeroing Neural Network for Solving Hybrid Multilayered Time-Varying Linear System
Hybrid multilayered time-varying linear system is a challenging problem, which has complex structure and time-varying characteristics. In order to solve this complex problem, we use the method of zeroing neural network to analyze the equivalence between ...

Well-Posedness of Time-Varying Linear Systems [PDF]
In this paper, we give easily verifiable sufficient conditions for two classes of perturbed linear, passive PDE systems to be well-posed, and we provide an energy inequality for the perturbed systems. Our conditions are in terms of smoothness of the operator functions that describe the multiplicative and additive perturbation, and here well-posedness ...

State Estimation with Reduced-Order Observer and Adaptive-LQR Control of Time Varying Linear System
In this study, a new controller design was created to increase the control performance of a variable loaded time varying linear system. For this purpose, a state estimation with reduced order observer and adaptive-LQR (Linear–Quadratic Regulator) control

Positive Descriptor Time-varying Discrete-time Linear Systems and Their Asymptotic Stability [PDF]
The positivity and asymptotic stability of the descriptor time-varying discrete-time linear systems are addressed. The Weierstrass-Kronecker theorem on the decomposition of the regular pencil is extended to the time-varying discrete-time descriptor ...

Stability Analysis of Time-Delay Systems via a Delay-Derivative-Partitioning Approach
This paper is devoted to the study of delay-dependent stability of time-varying delay systems. A delay-derivative-partitioning approach is proposed. By constructing an augmented Lyapunov functional that contains two delay-product-dependent terms and ...
