Effect of the trench depth on the linear mode capability of trench technology MOSFET-s
2015 21st International Workshop on Thermal Investigations of ICs and Systems (THERMINIC), 2015This paper discusses the effect of the trench depth on the channel temperature in linear mode and thus on the linear mode capability of trench technology MOSFETs. The linear mode operation of MOSFETs is not characterized, qualified and is not tested very detailed by most of the manufacturers.

Trench formation in group explosions with linear charge distribution
Combustion, Explosion, and Shock Waves, 1995Using the laboratory-modeling method developed at the All-Russian Scientific-Research Institute of Engineering Physics, group explosions for the creation of long trenches (canals) are investigated. The minimum canal cross section and its other dimensions are obtained as a function of the basis parameters of the explosion. Conditions for the creation of

20-μm deep trench isolation process characterization for linear bipolar ICs
SPIE Proceedings, 2001ABSTRACT The use of junction isolation in linear bipolar ICs substantially consumes silicon area. The replacement of junction isolationwith trench isolation has the potential to significantly reduce device area while maintaining high voltage operation.

An electrostatic 3-phase linear stepper motor fabricated by vertical trench isolation technology
Journal of Micromechanics and Microengineering, 2009We present the design, microfabrication and characterization of an electrostatic 3-phase linear stepper micromotor constructed with vertical trench isolation technology. This suitable technology was used to create a monolithic stepper motor with high-aspect-ratio poles and an integrated 3-phase electrical network in the bulk of a standard single ...

Performance of the lithium metal infused trenches in the magnum PSI linear plasma simulator
Nuclear Fusion, 2015The application of liquid metal, especially liquid lithium, as a plasma facing component (PFC) has the capacity to offer a strong alternative to solid PFCs by reducing damage concerns and enhancing plasma performance. The liquid-metal infused trenches (LiMIT) concept is a liquid metal divertor alternative which employs thermoelectric current from ...

The study presents the results of an experimental investigation of the role of sophisticated monolithic linear X ray strip detectors based on semi-insulating (SI) GaAs introducing etched trenches around strips into the technology. The strip line detectors are preferably determined for application in digital X-ray imaging.

Abstract In many instances, a soil may be demonstrably polluted by a chemical but not pose an immediate threat to the environment. In this case, it may be acceptable to put in place a decontamination strategy that ensures the pollutant will remain within a prescribed region and gradually be sorbed onto a substrate over a period of time. One practical
