Design and analysis strategies for robust microbiome ageing research
The gut microbiome changes with age and associates with age‐related morbidity and mortality, establishing it as a potential biomarker and intervention target for ageing. Realising this potential requires methodological rigour, yet distinguishing biological signals from methodological artefacts remains challenging across cohorts. This review provides an

System Design and Reliability Improvement of Wireless Sensor Network in Plant Factory Scenario
Creating a suitable growing environment is necessary to ensure good plant growth in a plant factory, which requires wireless sensor networks (WSNs) to monitor the environment in real time.

802.11 Link Quality and its Prediction - An Experimental Study
. Reliable link quality prediction is an imperative for the efficient operation of mobile ad-hoc wireless networks (MANETs). In this paper it is shown that popular link quality prediction algorithms for 802.11 MANETs perform much more poorly when applied

Protein aggregates threaten proteostasis and cell health. In human cells, Hsp70–J‐domain protein‐based disaggregases remove aggregates, but how they assemble remains unclear. Our biochemical findings show that DNAJA2‐ and DNAJB1‐containing disaggregase scaffolds enhance luciferase aggregate targeting, and that Hsp70 recruitment by both J‐domain ...

Temporal link prediction using graph pattern matching [PDF]
Many real-world systems are composed of individual components which are inter-linked in some way. To understand and predict the behavior of such a system, we can model it as a network where components correspond to nodes and connections are links between

Reconstructing enzyme evolution by protein engineering
Natural enzyme evolution can be retraced by protein engineering methods such as directed evolution, rational design, and ancestral sequence reconstruction. These approaches reveal how enzymes emerged from ligand‐binding scaffolds, developed varying substrate preferences, formed oligomeric complexes, adapted to environmental changes, and evolved novel ...

Genetic Machine Learning Approach for Link Quality Prediction in Mobile Wireless Sensor Networks
Establishing adequate RF (Radio Frequency) connectivity is the basic requirement for the proper operation of any wireless network. In a mobile wireless network it is a challenge for applications and protocols to deal with connectivity problems, as links ...

The role of miR‐335‐5p in the redifferentiation of BRAF p.V600E thyroid cancers
The BRAF p.V600E mutation promotes thyroid cancer dedifferentiation and radioiodine resistance. Using a network approach, we identified miR‐335‐5p as a key regulator of BRAF‐mutated thyroid tumors. Restoring miR‐335‐5p increased thyroid‐specific gene expression and iodine uptake in cells and organoids.

Leveraging zero tail in neighbourhood for link prediction
For link prediction, Common Neighbours (CN) ranking measures allow to discover quality links between nodes in a social network, assessing the likelihood of a new link based on the neighbours frontier of the already existing nodes.
