Somatostatin receptor 4 (SSTR4) is a tumor suppressor in cutaneous and head & neck squamous cell carcinomas

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study identifies somatostatin receptor 4 (Sstr4) as a critical tumor suppressor against skin and head/neck cancers (HNSCC, cSCC, and BCC). The loss of Sstr4 removes a check on cell growth, causing hyperactivation of the MAPK‐ERK signaling pathway (↑).

ADP‐ribosylation: An emerging regulator of the epigenome

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
ADP‐ribosylation has emerged as a dynamic epigenetic signaling mechanism that modifies histones and chromatin‐associated proteins. Through coordinated PARylation and MARylation, it integrates with other histone modifications to regulate chromatin structure, transcription factor activity, and gene expression, influencing genome function and disease ...

Suppression of lung adenocarcinoma migration through organelle alkalization by human lactoferrin – albumin fusion

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This paper reveals how human lactoferrin–albumin fusion (hLF‐HSA) potently suppresses lung adenocarcinoma cell migration. hLF‐HSA upregulates NHE7, leading to Golgi alkalization, disruption of the Golgi secretome, downregulation of MMP1, and reversal of EMT. These findings suggest a novel Golgi‐targeting strategy to suppress cancer cell migration.

Private record linkage with linkage maps

SECURITY AND PRIVACY, 2022
AbstractPrivate record linkage is an actively pursued research area to facilitate the linkage of database records under the constraints of regulations that do not allow linkage agents to learn sensitive identities of record owners. Recent works have shown that linkage using commutative ciphers, which were discarded earlier for efficiency concerns, can ...

A linkage map of rye

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1994
A linkage map of rye (Secale cereale L.) is presented which comprises 60 loci including RFLPs, RAPDs, isozyme, morphological and physiological markers. The genetics and linkage relationships of these markers were investigated in several inbred lines of rye.

Data linkage maps

Journal of Software Maintenance: Research and Practice, 1993
AbstractMost work in software metrics has been aimed at measuring the quality or cost of software. This paper gives an example of how metrics may be used to give information about how the software system is organized, specifically the data linkage between procedures in the source code.

The linkage map of the rat

Behavior Genetics, 1981
Our genetic knowledge of a species is reflected in the state of its gene map. Although still primitive, relative to the gene map of the mouse, great strides have been made in recent years in developing the gene map of the rat and nine linkage groups have now been defined.

Linkage-maps and their Relations to Linkage Cluster Procedures

Zentralblatt für Bakteriologie, Parasitenkunde, Infektionskrankheiten und Hygiene. Zweite Naturwissenschaftliche Abteilung: Mikrobiologie der Landwirtschaft, der Technologie und des Umweltschutzes, 1980
Methods of numerical taxonomy should provide a good representation of the relations of the objects and the structure of the groups. Besides dendograms, shade diagrams and minimum spanning trees, linkage-maps are suggested as a good additive tool to accomplish this representation.

A molecular linkage map of rye

Theoretical and Applied Genetics, 1996
A genetic map of six chromosomes of rye, (all of the rye chromosomes except for 2R), was constructed using 77 RFLP and 12 RAPD markers. The map was developed using an F2 population of 54 plants from a cross between two inbred lines. A rye genomic library was constructed as a source of clones for RFLP mapping.

Linkage Maps of Human Genes

Pediatrics International, 1987
AbstractMethodologies and tools for the construction of complete, primary genetic linkage maps of human chromosomes are emerging. Special families, optimal because of family structure for revealing linkage relationships, have been sampled and a number of genotypic determinations gathered.
