Prospects and challenges in linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.) production: A review
Journal of oilseeds research, 2023Linseed or flax (Linum usitatissimum L.) is one of the most important industrial oilseed crops of India. It isgrown either for the oil extracted from the seed or fibre from the stem. Every part of the linseed plant is utilizedcommercially either directly

Doubled haploid production in Flax (Linum usitatissimum L.)
Biotechnology Advances, 2009There is a requirement of haploid and double haploid material and homozygous lines for cell culture studies and breeding in flax. Anther culture is currently the most successful method producing doubled haploid lines in flax. Recently, ovary culture was also described as a good source of doubled haploids.

The aims of this study was to develop CAPS marker to the fad3B gene controlling the synthesis of ??-linolenic acid in linseed (Linum usitatissimum L.). Methods. DNA sequencing was perfomed on an automatic ABI 3500 Genetic Analyzer (Applied Biosystems). For the sequencing analysis and primers??? design we used the Vector NTI Advance ?? Software 11.5.0 (?

Peroxidase Activity in Linum usitatissimum L
Annals of Botany, 1967Crosses were made, in all combinations, between 2 parental genotypes of Linum and their reciprocal F1 hybrids. The parents and progeny obtained were grown in controlled environmental conditions and sampled at 35 and 70 days after germination to determine, on an individual plant basis, total plant fresh weight and peroxidase activity of main stem tissue.
