The Proinflammatory Secretome of Senescent Cells Can Be Controlled by a HIF2A‐Dependent Upregulation and a FURIN‐Dependent Cleavage of the ANGPTL4 Secreted Factor

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 1, January 2026.
This article supports that ANGPTL4 secreted factor is induced transcriptionally and activated by proteolytic cleavage during senescence, contributing to the production of a pro‐inflammatory SASP. In the senescent cell microenvironment, ANGPTL4 could thus contribute to senescence‐dependent alterations such as inflammation and tumor initiation.

Comparative Analysis of a Dual DNA–RNA Panel and a DNA‐Only Panel for Sarcoma: Real‐World Data From a Nationwide Genomic Database

open access: yesCancer Science, Volume 117, Issue 1, Page 156-168, January 2026.
Dual DNA–RNA panel with matched tumor–normal testing may improve diagnostic accuracy and inform treatment decisions in the routine clinical management of sarcoma. ABSTRACT Next‐generation sequencing‐based comprehensive cancer genomic profiling is promising in cancer management; however, most studies rely on tumor‐only DNA panels from single ...

Murine double minute 2 (MDM2) expression by immunohistochemistry in lipomatous tumours and a clinical cohort [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
INTRODUCTION: Differentiating atypical lipomatous tumours (ALT) and well-differentiated liposarcomas (WDLS), also known as grade 1 liposarcomas (G1LS), from benign lipomas is a common diagnostic problem for pathologists.

THBS2 Promotes Prostate Cancer Malignancy via INHBA‐Dependent FAK/PI3K/AKT Signaling Activation

open access: yesAnalytical Cellular Pathology, Volume 2026, Issue 1, 2026.
Prostate cancer (PCa) is a leading malignancy among men, with a growing incidence and mortality rate worldwide. There is a pressing need to identify novel molecular biomarkers and therapeutic targets to improve prognosis and treatment strategies for PCa. We analyzed thrombospondin 2 (THBS2) expression patterns in PCa using The Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA)

DEPDC1 facilitated malignant phenotypes and disease progression of liposarcoma by modulating KIF20A

open access: yesFrontiers in Endocrinology
IntroductionDEP domain containing 1 (DEPDC1) has been well-known as a significant contributor to tumorigenesis and cancer progression. However, its potential oncogenic mechanism in liposarcoma is still unclear.MethodsIn this study, the expression and ...
