Bacterial Minicell‐Based Biohybrid Sub‐micron Swimmers for Targeted Cargo Delivery

Bacterial minicells, vesicles derived from engineered E. coli, offer promising sub‐micron scale biohybrid swimmers for targeted cargo delivery. Purified with over 99% efficiency while retaining motility, they are functionalized with MNPs for controlled movement.

Nanomaterials Trigger Functional Anti‐Tumoral Responses in Primary Human Immune Cells

Nanoparticles are used to improve immunomodulatory therapies, but the impact of drug‐free nanomaterials on the immune system remains unknown. Screening common biomedical nanoparticles (NPs) reveals that PLGA NPs enhanced NK cell anti‐tumoral activity and transcriptional activation in human NK and pan T cells.

The Role of CAF‐derived Vitronectin in Promoting Colorectal Cancer Progression and Immunosuppression

Cancer‐associated fibroblast (CAF)‐derived VTN upregulates SLC6A8 expression in colorectal cancer (CRC) cells and macrophages through enhanced FAK phosphorylation. This modulation significantly increases the cellular uptake of creatine and ATP, promoting cancer progression and macrophage polarization.

Metabolic Programming Drives Protective and Inflammatory Monocyte Fates in Viral Encephalitis

Bone marrow monocytes infiltrate the West Nile virus‐infected brain and differentiate into HIF1‐α⁺ monocyte‐derived cells (MCs) that diverge into protective, antigen‐presenting or inflammatory, iNOS⁺ MCs with distinct metabolic programs and functions.
