Mimicking Biochemical Traits with a Synthetic Lipid Nanoparticles SARS‐COV‐2 Model
A synthetic virus model developed using lipid nanoparticles, which incorporate encapsulated mRNA and nucleocapsid (N) protein along with surface‐conjugated spike (S) protein, mimics the characteristics of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS‐CoV‐2), allowing for the advancement of diagnostic product assessment.

MinD the gap: Membrane proteins form 3D patterns in a suspension of liposomes [PDF]
The self-organization of pattern-forming systems depends not only on the chemical but also physical properties of their components. In this work, we fragmented and dispersed the MinDE protein system's lipid substrate into diffusive sub-micrometer-sized liposomes, and report that the ATP-fueled protein-protein interactions continue to drive spatially ...

Opportunities in Therapeutic mRNA Stabilization: Sequence, Structure, Adjuvants and Vectors
Current mRNA lipid nanoparticles rely on cold storage, which increases the cost and reduces access to the vaccines. As mRNA expands to other clinical opportunities, better methods to stabilize the medicines during shipping, storage, and delivery are needed.

Cold Plasma Generates a Localized Inflammatory Response and Promotes Muscle Repair
The immediate tissue response to plasma is a pro‐inflammatory response which is characterized by collagen clumping, innate immune cell infiltration, enhanced metabolic processes, and decreased apoptosis. The long‐term tissue response (4‐ and 14‐days) to plasma treatment is characterized by a decreased inflammatory response, decreased adipogenesis, and ...
