On Constraint Qualifications and Optimality Conditions in Nonsmooth Semi-infinite Optimization [PDF]
The primary objective of this paper is to enhance several well-known geometric constraint qualifications and necessary optimality conditions for nonsmooth semi-infinite optimization problems (SIPs).

ABSTRACT This paper proposes a hybrid control strategy for flexible‐link manipulators that combines offline trajectory planning with adaptive tracking to suppress residual elastic vibration (REV) under unknown bounded disturbances. A rigid–flexible coupling dynamics model is first established using the floating‐frame method and Lagrange's equations ...

Computational governor is shown which simultaneously adjusts the reference and adjusts the constraints. ABSTRACT The paper considers a computational governor strategy to facilitate the implementation of Model Predictive Control (MPC) based on inexact optimization when the time available to compute the solution may be insufficient.

ABSTRACT The importance of frequency domain methods in analysis and design of sliding mode (SM) control systems is mostly associated with chattering, where the advantages of these methods over state‐space and Lyapunov's methods are quite obvious.

Control Design Based on Generalized Lur'e Lyapunov Functions for Sampled‐Data Lur'e Systems
ABSTRACT This article addresses the synthesis of stabilizing control laws for aperiodic sampled‐data Lur'e systems. Based on a hybrid system representation of the closed‐loop system and a timer‐dependent generalized Lur'e–Postnikov type Lyapunov function, stabilization conditions are obtained by separating decision variables with the application of two

Exact Robust Filtering and Differentiation Based on Sliding Modes and Homogeneity
ABSTRACT This article addresses the problem of online estimation of the derivatives of a signal corrupted by measurement noise. The measured signal is modeled as the sum of a smooth nominal component and a uniformly bounded noise term. A key objective is to attenuate the effect of high‐frequency noise.

Caratheodory’s approximation for a type of Caputo fractional stochastic differential equations
The Caratheodory approximation for a type of Caputo fractional stochastic differential equations is considered. As is well known, under the Lipschitz and linear growth conditions, the existence and uniqueness of solutions for some type of differential ...

Initial State Privacy of Nonlinear Systems on Riemannian Manifolds
ABSTRACT In this paper, we investigate initial state privacy protection for discrete‐time nonlinear closed systems. By capturing Riemannian geometric structures inherent in such privacy challenges, we refine the concept of differential privacy through the introduction of an initial state adjacency set based on Riemannian distances.
