Contribution of defect on early stage of LIPSS formation
We investigated an early stage of laser-induced periodic surface structure (LIPSS) formation to elucidate the contribution of defects on the formation. 4H-SiC crystals were irradiated by multiple pulses of femtosecond laser with different laser spot sizes.

Numerical FDTD-based simulations and Raman experiments of femtosecond LIPSS
The article describes the results of finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) mathematical modeling of electric field strength distribution near the gold laser-induced periodic surface structures (LIPSS). Both theoretical and experimental results have been described for two fabricated morphologies: round «hill-like» and grating structures.

Lézerrel létrehozott periodikus felületi struktúrák (LIPSS) alkalmazásorientált felhasználása [PDF]
A lézeres kezelés által létrehozott periodikus felületi struktúrákat röviden LIPSS-eknek (laser-induced periodic surface structures) nevezzük. A lézeres felületkezelés során végbemenő fizikai folyamatok szabályozásával a kialakított felületek morfológiai

LIPSS manufacturing with regularity control through laser wavefront curvature [PDF]
Laser-Induced Periodic Surface Structures (LIPSS) manufacturing is a convenient laser direct-writing technique for the fabrication of nanostructures with adaptable characteristics on the surface of virtually any material.

Wettability surface control on stainless steel by LIPSS formation
Abstract In this paper, laser-induced periodic structures are obtained on the surface of SS304 stainless steel when treated with femtosecond laser radiation. The dependence of the period of surface structures on the speed and power of laser radiation treatment is revealed.

Phase-inversion constructed Mo2C@NC microreactor with optimized pyridinic N p-band center for high-performance Li-S batteries. [PDF]
A phase‐inversion constructed Mo2C@NC microreactor activates the intrinsic catalysis of nitrogen‐doped carbon via interfacial electron redistribution. Strong charge transfer to pyridinic N optimizes the p‐band center, enabling efficient lithium polysulfide adsorption, fast redox kinetics, and long‐term stable, high‐rate Li–S battery performance ...
