Body Image, Disordered Eating, and Psychological Functioning as Prospective Predictors of Inflexible Eating

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Psychology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Most research on dieting behaviours has examined rigid dieting, characterised by strict, rule‐bound approaches to eating that reflect an all‐or‐nothing mindset. However, this work has primarily emphasised behavioural features, with comparatively less attention to the cognitive and emotional processes underlying rigid control ...

The costs of coal liquefaction: Influences of technical/economic risk

open access: yesFuel Processing Technology, 1987
Abstract Despite the recent declines in the world price of oil, the potential for manufacturing synthetic liquids from coal remains a significant economic force. Consequently, it is important to determine the approximate costs of synthetic liquid fuels from coal.

Nanostructured lipid carriers and natural deep eutectic solvents: a highly advantageous combination for the encapsulation of curcumin

open access: yesJournal of Chemical Technology &Biotechnology, EarlyView.
Abstract BACKGROUND Curcumin is a naturally derived polyphenol known for its potent biological properties. Its therapeutic potential, however, is hindered by low bioavailability. Nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) have emerged as advanced delivery systems to overcome such limitations. Natural deep eutectic solvents (NADESs) have garnered attention as

Prediction of Soil Liquefaction Triggering Using Rule-Based Interpretable Machine Learning

open access: yesGeosciences
Seismic events remain a significant threat, causing loss of life and extensive damage in vulnerable regions. Soil liquefaction, a complex phenomenon where soil particles lose confinement, poses a substantial risk.

Stability Analysis of a Bulk Carrier under Damage Scenarios during the Loading of Polymetallic Nodules in the Clarion–Clipperton Zone [PDF]

open access: yesTransNav
A potential consequence of loading polymetallic nodules (PMNs) in a marine environment is liquefaction. During loading operations in the Clarion–Clipperton Zone (CCZ), the ship is exposed to cyclic rolling and pitching, which increases the risk of cargo ...

Sonographic Diagnosis of an Intercostal Artery Pseudoaneurysm: A Case Report and Literature Review

open access: yesJournal of Clinical Ultrasound, EarlyView.
A 63‐year‐old male presented to the emergency department after being found unconscious during a welfare check. Following a prolonged three‐month hospital admission, the patient developed left flank pain. Spectral Doppler ultrasound revealed a large isoechoic lesion with layering echoes, and spectral Doppler demonstrated bidirectional flow.

Foreign body ingestions in children and adolescents: A position paper of the European Society for Pediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) endoscopy special interest group

open access: yesJournal of Pediatric Gastroenterology and Nutrition, EarlyView.
Abstract Foreign body (FB) ingestion is a relatively frequent occurrence in the pediatric population with multiple potential sequelae. Appropriate intervention may range from urgent endoscopic retrieval to watchful waiting, with multiple variables influencing the decision.
