Texoskeletons: Developing the Fundamental Technologies for Creating Intelligent Soft Robotic Clothing With Integrated 1D Sensors and Actuators

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Traditional wearable exoskeletons rely on rigid structures, which limit comfort, flexibility, and everyday usability. This work introduces the fundamental technologies to create the first soft, lightweight, intelligent textile‐based exoskeletons (Texoskeletons) built using 1D sensors and actuators.

Separation of poly(ethylene glycols) into fractions by sequential liquid–liquid extraction

Talanta, 1999
Poly(ethylene glycols) (PEG) are the major metabolites of non-ionic surfactants (NS). Chains of PEG may be shortened due to further biodegradation. The separate determination of short- and long-chained PEG (SC- and LC-PEG) may be useful to control the biodegradation of NS and PEG.

Sulphuric acid influence on liquid–liquid extraction of Co(II) and Zn(II) by MIBK from NH4SCN medium

Talanta, 1998
Liquid-liquid extraction of Co(II) and Zn(II) by methylisobutylcetone (MIBK) has been studied systematically from NH(4)SCN/H(2)SO(4) media. The influence of sulphuric acid concentration on the percentage of extraction of Co(II) and Zn(II) has been discussed. It is shown that sulphuric acid concentration has not the same effect on distribution curves of
