Possibilities traditional and liquid-based cytology combined with immunocytochemical detection of some molecular markers in the preoperative diagnosis of well-differentiated thyroid cancer

open access: yesКлиническая и экспериментальная тиреоидология, 2016
Aim. To establish the diagnostic value of liquid and traditional cytological diagnosis with immunocytochemical (ICC) detection proteins (galectin-3, nucleophosmin, Ki-67) in the preoperative diagnosis of well-differentiated thyroid cancer and analysis of

Lymph‐based liquid biopsy: Current progress and future potential

open access: yesInterdisciplinary Medicine, EarlyView.
Recent evidence under the revised Starling principle indicates that lymph‐based liquid biopsies may offer superior diagnostic performance over blood‐based counterparts in certain clinical scenarios, such as early‐stage solid tumor detection. Currently, various biomarkers within the lymphatic system show significant diagnostic potential for a range of ...

The impact of the introduction of liquid based cytology on the variation in the proportion of inadequate samples between GP practices

open access: yesBMC Public Health, 2007
Background Historically there has been a wide variation in the proportion of inadequate smears between general practices. Cervical screening in the UK is undergoing a fundamental change by moving from conventional to liquid based cytology (LBC). The main

Aging display's effect on interpretation of digital pathology slides

open access: yes, 2015
It is our conjecture that the variability of colors in a pathology image effects the interpretation of pathology cases, whether it is diagnostic accuracy, diagnostic confidence, or workflow efficiency. In this paper, digital pathology images are analyzed

In Vitro Evaluation of Novel Calcium Silicate‐Based and Resin‐Modified Calcium Silicate Materials: Cytocompatibility and Mineralization Potential on Human Dental Pulp Stem Cells for Pulp Repair

open access: yesMicroscopy Research and Technique, EarlyView.
This study demonstrates that Biodentine XP exhibits superior cytocompatibility, promotes odontogenic differentiation, and enhances mineralization in human dental pulp stem cells, supporting its use in regenerative endodontics. Resin‐modified materials showed lower bioactivity, highlighting the importance of material composition in pulp therapy outcomes.
