Performance testing of a cross-flow membrane-based liquid desiccant dehumidification system [PDF]
A membrane-based liquid desiccant dehumidification system is one of high energy efficient dehumidification approaches, which allows heat and moisture transfers between air stream and desiccant solution without carryover problem. The system performance is

Development of a Pilot Plant Solar Liquid Desiccant Air Conditioner for the Northern Region of Iran [PDF]
In a 10-ton capacity pilot plant solar liquid desiccant air conditioner (LDAC) developed, dehumidification of the outside air is achieved through a honeycomb packed-bed heat and mass exchanger, using lithium chloride solution as the desiccant.

Next-generation HVAC: Prospects for and limitations of desiccant and membrane-based dehumidification and cooling [PDF]
Recently, next-generation HVAC technologies have gained attention as potential alternatives to the conventional vapor-compression system (VCS) for dehumidification and cooling. Previous studies have primarily focused on analyzing a specific technology or

This study reveals how the mitochondrial protein Slm35 is regulated in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The authors identify stress‐responsive DNA elements and two upstream open reading frames (uORFs) in the 5′ untranslated region of SLM35. One uORF restricts translation, and its mutation increases Slm35 protein levels and mitophagy.

Specific Adhesion of Membranes Simultaneously Supports Dual Heterogeneities in Lipids and Proteins [PDF]
Membrane adhesion is a vital component of many biological processes. Heterogeneities in lipid and protein composition are often associated with the adhesion site. These heterogeneities are thought to play functional roles in facilitating signalling. Here
